Evening all!

I'm away again tonight, and not going to have access to a laptop/ipad until later on tomorrow, so I'm starting the week's chat thread a bit early.

Here's the spreadsheet

Sounds like we're seeing some really impressive results, and I'm looking forward to the 'scores on the doors'!

Thanks BIWI Smile

absopugginglutely · 08/12/2019 14:30

@Biwi thank you!
Taming amazing well done!

B: buttery creamy scrambled eggs and bacon
L: cream coffee 2x litres water
D: will be low carb HF beef Bolognese with FLGV (buttery)

So happy with this WOE currently sat in Costa and having a cream coffee while family eat Mac n cheese and paninis abs muffins.
I feel fine with it!

prettybird · 08/12/2019 16:18

I did really well earlier: am having to make my excellent tablet for my dad to take out to SA Shock - and I managed to control myself and test for soft ball stage by feel and didn't eat the wee ball of pure sugar Halo

TamingToddler · 08/12/2019 18:22

Thankyou everyone Smile hopefully the weight stays off for weigh in tomorrow. I do love this way of eating, but you definitely can't go off daily weighing, it's massively up and down but my graph shows that the trend is definitely downwards and that's the most important thing.

Enjoy your night away @BIWI

KondoKonvert · 08/12/2019 21:27

Thank you @BIWI!

whojamaflip · 09/12/2019 06:43

Yay another half lb off! Found out that it's def my water intake that affects my weight loss (I know, I know 🤦‍♀️) so been making sure I hit my targets each day. Not going to hit 10 stone for Christmas but am happy to be below the 10 1/2.

Koko

ShagMeRiggins · 09/12/2019 06:52

downudderer congrats on normal BMI. Great work.

secondchapter how does cocoa help sleep? It contains caffeine. I know it’s a comfort thing but chamomile tea or similar would have been a better choice both sleep wise and carb wise (11g in cocoa vs less than one in chamomile). And the darn cat ruined it all anyway!

I’m two lbs up my amazing mid-week weighin (not surprised, it screamed fluke) but 1lb down on the week at 182. Wondering if I can see the 70s before Xmas...

Exitstrategist · 09/12/2019 07:23

Hooray- another 2 lbs down and firmly inside 10 stone something rather than just hovering under 11. People beginning to notice too and back in pre pregnancy jeans. I WILL NOT undo this over Xmas!!!

moleeye · 09/12/2019 07:26

Morning all

Thank you @BIWI!

So I've come on my period today, first one since having the baby 9 months ago and first one since doing this WOE. Hopefully they won't be as painful, long or heavy as I normally suffer quite badly 🤞🏼

@TamingToddler that's great! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Haven't posted in a couple days
Sat
L - cauliflower, brussel and spinach soup made with double cream
D-chicken wings, watercress salad, homemade coleslaw and blue cheese dressing (was lower carb to make the dressing then buy a bottle of it!)

Sun
L-Chicken and bacon Caesar salad
D-spag bol (without them spag) on creamed spinach
5 almonds

IWillWearTheGreenWillow · 09/12/2019 07:37

Morning all! Brief check in here - absolutely, definitely below 13 stone, no messing about here. 12st 12.5 yesterday! Finally settling into this WOE that works for me without cheating. Just need to stay on top of the water (somehow harder when I'm ill).

Taming, amazing weight loss, well done! Hope I can keep going over as long a period.

KondoKonvert · 09/12/2019 07:50

Well done on all the great losses!

I am 1.8lb up this week but trying to focus on taming's graph. I'm also due my period in 4 days (clutching at straws). Gonna KOKO and keep up the water.

Iris1 · 09/12/2019 07:58

Just checking in. Well done everyone some great results recently. So nice to read about.
Feel for those struggling with the wine as I'm doing the same but determined not to drink alcohol until the 22nd at the earliest. I haven't drunk anything since the 29th Nov. I feel fine actually. It's the habit of having wine on the weekend which is hard to break but I do feel better for it.

Weighed in the morning at 9 stone 13. I have broke the 10 stone barrier and I'm chuffed as I wanted to be just below 10 by Xmas.
I'm.hoping to keep stict with myself now the next 2 week's. Well 13 days as have afternoon tea on the 22nd.
And that should keep me firmly in the the 9 stone bracket over xmas (fingers crossed)
Total loss so far is 13.2 Ibs. Along with better skin, no period pain, tiniest amount if pms instead of being an emotional angry wreck for a week, flatter stomach, better hair!!, cleaner feeling teeth, serious lack of wind, clothes fitting so much better and a general feeling of more energy and sleeping better. Can't knock this way of eating. Yes i paln to have a few little treats over Xmas but I have a plan about what's worth it!!
So Ill be here over Xmas and join on from the beginning in January - thanks so much for the support.

Finally feeling better the last few days as well after that awful cold. Fingers crossed it's gone for good now.

Today my plan is
Black coffee and a litre of water
Gym ( HIIT on treadmill and then weight training)
Lunch - omelette. Inc leeks and cheese and prob bacon as have some to use. And spinach.
Dinner - pork shoulder in creamy sauce and cauliflower and some other veg. Prob broccolli and maybe kale.
A creamy coffee at some point.

Sorry for long post!! Hope everyone has a good day.

absopugginglutely · 09/12/2019 09:14

Well done everybody! A svelte Christmas is in sight!
I have stayed the same which I expected after the slice of cheese cake on Friday night.
But I will KOKO!

TamingToddler · 09/12/2019 09:35

Well done everyone! My graph says my average weight loss per month is a little over 4lbs so steadily lose at 1lb a week which seems so little but over the course has meant a massive drop. I'm really glad I logged all the gains too as I wasn't going to originally.
The water really bloody helps.

venusandmars · 09/12/2019 09:56

At one time a 'treat' would have been chocolate or a cream donut, or wine and crisps. Today my treat is a lovely tiny (induction-hob compatible) omelette pan, just right for one Grin

B - avocado and salad
L - one person omelette with spinach and peppers
D - left over thai green curry with cauliflower rice

Up until now I've been making my own cauliflower rice - blitzing a cauli then roasting it in the oven with olive oil and spices (salt, pepper, ground up with fennel seeds, caraway seeds, cumin seeds). I bought some frozen cauli-rice in small sachets for the microwave. It seems more economical and it saves electricity by not having to put the oven on if that's the only thing going in. But I have to say I didn't really enjoy the microwaved stuff - a bit bland, and didn't have the texture or burnt caramelised edges that I'm used to. Tonight I'm going to try doing the frozen stuff in the oven in my usual way - do you think it will work?

Twit · 09/12/2019 10:20

Hi all! Congratulations to all the losers!

I've stayed the same, but my period is coming up so its probably that. I'm focussing on my water intake and sticking with the strict version of bootcamp- although I haven't been eating regularly over the last couple of days and I'm feeling like I should get back into doing so. I'm off to aldi later, so will be stocking up again and I think I'll post my food again every day as well.

But it's still a stone off in total, so yay!

LittleSwede · 09/12/2019 10:52

Well done to all the losers!

I've lost just over 10 pounds in total since starting which means my initial goal of 5 kg off for Christmas has been reached. Would love another pound or two off before boot camp finishes though. Then hopefully lose another 8 pound in the next boot camp to get me to pre DD weight and a healthy BMI.

prettybird · 09/12/2019 11:04

Woohoo! Smile Down 2.5lb to 11st 10.5lb Grin

I might even manage to break through 11 and a half stone by Christmas if I keep up the WoE, especially the water Xmas Smile - so would be nearly back to where I'd got to (and was pleased with Xmas Wink) last Christmas. After the 3 weeks of stall until last week, it's good to see the scales moving downwards again.

Water really does make the difference ..... which reminds me Xmas Wink

secondchapter · 09/12/2019 12:50

@ShagMeRiggins I hadn't thought about the carbs in cocoa, the cocoa itself is negligible compared to the horlicks/ malted milk I used to have. It's only 200ml of milk, but yes it is horribly carb laden. Cocoa contains tyrptophan. I always find a hot milky drink sends me to sleep. Camomile tea wouldn't do it for me I'm afraid. I am dropping weight most days and as I still have 7 Stone to lose, i'm not too stressed about a small about of whole milk while I'm still losing. I am trying to put cream in my coffee now though, maybe I'll cut back on the cocoa and see what happens. Struggling to drink 4.5 litres of water, but plugging away at it. Boiled extra eggs when I made the salad yesterday so will have another salad today with less beetroot.

BIWI · 09/12/2019 15:29

@DownUdderer

Shock WTAF are you eating a banana for?! It's the carbiest fruit you could choose and it's definitely not Bootcamp-friendly!

@secondchapter agree with @ShagMeRiggins - the cocoa will have been a bit too carby with the milk. Could you try using unsweetened almond milk instead?

I'm very Grin about everyone suddenly realising just how important water is. You clearly didn't believe me did you?!

WATER, WATER, WATER!!!

secondchapter · 09/12/2019 16:21

I'm just not feeling hungry today. Does it matter if I don't eat much?

BIWI · 09/12/2019 16:40

Nope - not at this stage! One of the very positive side effects of low carbing Smile

Just make sure that you don't get too hungry and then fall face first into a pile of carbs though.

OP posts:
secondchapter · 09/12/2019 17:16

Good thought @BIWI I'm going out later and there will probably be mince pies. Just made myself eat some ham, cream cheese and a few seeds with a cream coffee as insurance against being hungry later Xmas Smile

venusandmars · 09/12/2019 17:38

Good plan secondchapter I sometimes don't feel hungry but knowing what is facing you, a higher fat set of food will help you to stick to your ideals. You won't feel hungry plus I guarantee that if you have a mouthful of mince pie you will find it sickeningly sweet, and wish you'd never even tried.

absopugginglutely · 09/12/2019 18:22

@secondchapter I have this some days too, two days last week I had very little to eat but today I’ve had three meals.
