This is the official sign-up thread!

As ever, it will be for 10 weeks, so the final weigh-in will be Monday 22 July, so will finish just in time for the school summer holidays.

Cauliflower Cheese

For @TheWaiting

1 medium/large cauliflower
300ml double cream
As much grated mature cheddar as you like!
Freshly ground black pepper
Squeeze of lemon juice

  • Chop your cauliflower into florets and boil in salted water till just tender (about 5-6 minutes depending on the size of the florets)
  • While it's boiling, make the sauce: grate the cheese and bring the cream to the boil in a small saucepan
  • Add the cheese to the pan and stir till it all melts
  • Season with black pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice
  • Taste to see if it's cheesey enough for you
  • Drain the cauliflower when it's cooked, and let it steam dry for a couple of minutes, then tip into an oven-proof dish
  • Pour the sauce over it and then add more grated cheese to cover the top
  • Bake in a hot oven till the top is melted and browned

Have piled on weight since starting a new job and can’t fit into any of my clothes. I find BC v restrictive but the absolute black and whiteness of it works well for me - you simply can’t cheat and that’s that
