waves I did round 1 at beginning of year and have kept largely low carb since. Dropped off posting due to busyness but have stuck with it, have not weighed in for a while - scales died and I was getting a bit over the top anxious with daily weighing so have stepped back from scales at the moment - going by clothes & measurements 🤗

You may wonder, reading all the earlier stuff I've posted about what we can't eat, just what we can eat! Well, lots and lots of lovely stuff:

  • meat/fish/seafood/eggs are all good - just keep the processed stuff to a minimum
  • oils and fats, like olive oil, coconut oil, lard, butter (lots!). No margarine or spreads and nothing low fat or 'lite'
  • cheese and cream (although go easy with these, and be aware that dairy can impede weight loss for some people)
  • full fat natural yoghurt, full fat mayonnaise
  • most vegetables and salad stuff (the only ones really to avoid are potatoes, sweet potatoes, sweet corn and beetroot - most other veg is OK)

And after the initial strict two weeks, you can add back in nuts and seeds and a moderate amount of dark chocolate

If you head over to the Low Carb Bootcamp topic, you'll also find some stickied recipe threads, organised by protein type as well as vegetarian and dessert ideas - lots of lovely things to inspire you there.

I'm looking forward to the early weeks of BC where people post everything they are eating. I get so many ideas for daily combinations and for recipe ideas (Oohh the low carb moussaka recipe - bliss, bliss, bliss).
