Long term low carb weight gain

Hi, I’m a long term low carber thanks to BIWI but have noticed the pounds slipping back on this year and have now gained almost a stone over my lowest weight which was stable for a couple of years.

Could it be anything to do with the fact that I’m now menopausal and haven’t had a period for at least 18 months or is it because I do drink a lot of tea with double cream through the day and evening regardless of what I’m eating?

I’ve read about carb creep etc but I really don’t eat many although l do eat things like salted peanuts and almonds if I need a snack. I’m more of a grazer than 3 meals a day so nuts and cheese are easy foods.

I'm sure that better qualified folk will offer more than I can but I would suspect the last thing you mentioned might be at the root of this.

You don't have to count calories or carbs on bootcamp...IF YOU FOLLOW THE RULES. (So 3 meals a day - lots of veg - lots of water.)

If you are not following the rules - and instead are grazing on high fat/ low carb but very high calorie items like cheese and nuts and cream, then you are likely to be eating too much. It is very easy to do this.

Go back to the basics. Eat the lovely high fat stuff with your veg and not as a snack. Or take up a regime that requires you to count.
