Unfortunately the spreadsheet isn’t in my sights as I can’t access it on my iPad 😮

Could someone please post the link for me?

Some good results being reported on the last thread so let’s hope there are more to come!

Good luck everyone

I've survived Sainsbury's and didn't give in to temptation, always a mistake to go shopping when hungry! I only went in to pick up something from Argos!

LeapinLizards · 07/12/2018 10:21

Well done @starsky22!

tootstastic · 07/12/2018 10:47

@LeapinLizards Yes the thought of not looking awful in my outfit or it not fitting seems to help me focus.

@Rshard It was me who dreamt about shovelling in a Chinese takeaway. Weird feeling when you wake up, isn't it?

@starsky22 Well done on resisting the pain au chocolat! It always feels so much better when you manage to resist.

@StuntNun That looks delicious and very similar to my 'monster mash'. Great way of throwing whatever needs using up in the fridge and it's really filling. You might well find you don't need lunch later.

Well I have a day off to myself and I'm having a lovely morning at the hairdressers after getting drenched on the school run and doggle walk. Cut and colour and they're going to curl it for me for tonight. I'm actually looking forward to getting dressed up and going out, especially as I won't have to do my hair.

Have a great weekend everyone and remember to keep fighting the fuck-its!

I'm all topsyturvy after coming off my first night shift.
I should be sleeping, but am a bit wired and probably had too many coffees to get me through the night.

So I've fried up some left over swede full of cream and butter slapped a fried egg on top with a couple slices of crispy pancetta, ate it in bed, nearly licking the plate, half a litre of water and I'm going to sleep with the cat curled up on my feet.

This is hard, but I've got to stay on track. In the early hours I looked at what my goals are and I really need to do it this time. 24lbs to get me back to being me and healthy. You've all made me feel that it's possible.
toots sounds like a lovely day enjoy your evening and well done for swerving the carbs starsky

prettybird · 07/12/2018 12:14

Nothing to report weight wise now need the weekend to provide a whoosh to stay on course to achieve my 4lb Wink, but I'll report an uplifting story anyway Smile

A week past Tuesday, I realised after Pilates that I had lost an earring that had great sentimental value: it had been the last thing my mum had got for me (or rather, arranged for a friend of her's to get for me) for Christmas. We'd both been in tears after our visits that day as it was one of her "compos mentis" days (she had fronto-temporal dementia brought by a head injury from a cycling accident). It was always harder to see her when she was "better".

I cycled home carefully, searching, hoping that it would be at home. It wasn't Sad. Cycled back over my route, slowly, still nothing. Retraced my steps over the previous couple of days and got a freind to check her car and my dad to check his house. Nothing Sad

Checked with the pub where we have post-Pilates coffee on Tuesday. Nothing Sad Was at the point of emailing the shop where Mum's friend had bought it, as a long shot, with a picture of the remaining earring, to ask if, even after 8 years, could they identify who the maker was, so that I could contact them to make a new one. (It was a gold and silver modern hand made design).

Yesterday, I was emptying out the dishwasher. There, at the bottom of the dishwasher, it was ShockSmileSmileSmile. It must have been through multiple cycles, so is now very clean and well sterilised Grin

So relieved! Smile

Rshard · 07/12/2018 13:29

Well done @starsky!

Ah yes @toots, so strange! The one thing I remember really clearly is that there were many type of bread available for roasting. Vicious. Enjoy your day!

You can do it @furiousfifties

So glad you found your earring @prettybird, horrid to lose something so precious

prettybird · 07/12/2018 22:20

My dad is planning pasta and Italian sausage (in tomato sauce) for Sunday night. I had to ask him if he minded me having courgette ribbons fried in butter rather than the pasta (I'd cook my own portion) Wink

He's still doing pudding though Hmm

abbey44 · 07/12/2018 23:44

Oh God prettybird I was tearing up at your lost earring then (I've got a couple of things that are very precious from my Mum, and I know how distraught I'd be to lose them) - I'm so glad you found it Smile

At last - touch wood - all the bloody-minded koko-ing I've done seems to be paying off. I'm hoping my weigh-in on Monday will show that, but who knows...those scales don't seem to be my friend on a Monday morning. That'll be my last weigh-in on this BC - I'm off to Sierra Leone next Thursday with my younger son to spend Christmas and New Year with elder son, who lives over there. I've been promised BBQ lobster on the beach for Christmas dinner - how fab does that sound?! Grin It's so rare to have both sons on the same continent these days, never mind under the same roof, that this Christmas will be really special. I can't wait!

Wildheartsease · 08/12/2018 00:05

Take your Dad the surprise gift of a second pud prettybird. Choice is a wonderful thing.

prettybird · 08/12/2018 12:05

I'd already started making desserts for him to ensure that they were low carb for me - but this week (and last) he has insisted on making it himself.

I think he is trying to use up stuff before he goes off (on Monday) to spend Christmas with his lady friend Smile - so there is no point me making an "extra" dessert for him.

tootstastic · 08/12/2018 12:05

@prettybird how lovely that you found your earring, I love a happy ending.

My night went really well, 3 or 4 people must have stopped me to say 'have you lost loads of weight?'. I must say I didn't think it was that noticeable yet, but my outfit was very flattering (black) and I felt really good in it. It's nice to have some non-scale recognition that this thing is working.

But I do have some good news from the scales this morning too...I've just crept into the 16s. Not bad from 18st 10lbs! I'm now less than 2lbs off losing 2st since the start of BC, so really happy with that.

BIWI · 08/12/2018 17:26

That's brilliant @tootstastic!

And very pleased to hear about your earring @prettybird. A few years ago we had a burglary, and they focused on taking jewellery. One of the rings that my dad had bought my mum, which he then gave to me after her death, was stolen and I'm still upset about that. It was the only one of her rings that I'd had altered to fit me, and I wore it most days. It just happened that day that I'd swapped it for another one. Sad

So yesterday was the annual Christmas lunch that we go to - part of a dining club that DH belongs to. All bets are off when it comes to low carbing, mainly because of the amount of wine! A different wine with every course - and there were six courses! - and pre-lunch and after lunch drinks too. I was a little bit delicate this morning Grin

But I wore That Dress, and it was fine.

Tonight's dinner is slow-cooked pork belly with white cabbage braised with lemon and roasted butternut squash with rosemary and feta. I can't wait!

Thanks @BIWI, glad your frock fitted too. Sorry about your Mum's ring, that must have been an awful time, these things are irreplaceable.

Rshard · 08/12/2018 21:12

Sorry to hear about losing your Mum's ring in a burglary, similar happened to me. Burglars are absolute bastards in my opinion.

Staying on track still, so happy

starsky22 · 09/12/2018 17:57

Well done rshard for staying on track, I'm 1lb up today thanks to a large glass of wine on Friday night and a brownie yesterday, followed by a glass of Baileys. I find the weekend so much harder, but sticking to it today. Had chicken and veg for lunch and just about to have lamb kleftiko with veg.

ilovecherries · 09/12/2018 18:45

We went to a cheese factory this afternoon. Completely random thing to do but it was great and I ate so many samples I was glad I hadn’t had breakfast, and I no longer needed lunch either. I did resist the heavy fruit cake that was on offer as well - I did used to enjoy fruit cake and cheese at Xmas. Oh well. I now have a cheese box that looks like this...Shock

Doilooklikeatourist · 09/12/2018 18:47

@prettybird , what a relief to find the earring 😀
@BIWI , I have a couple of bits of jewellery from my mum and my grandma that I would be heartbroken to lose , so I feel for you

We had our Christmas party last night , carefully planned (by me ) to not clash with the Strictly final
Didn’t do too badly , though I did have some pud , and a couple of cocktails

Been careful today , we had roast pork for dinner , I had the fatty end , and made a nice “mash” with chopped up broccoli , cream , grated cheddar and a bit of butter

See what the scales say in the morning , I’m hoping for a Lb off , which will get me into the 10s

Doilooklikeatourist · 09/12/2018 18:49

Oh @abbey44 , your Christmas sounds wonderful 🍾

tootstastic · 10/12/2018 06:35

Hey it's the early bird again. Weighed in and just about to head out to my early Monday yoga class.

Delighted with 3.2 lbs off....only 0.9 lbs to go to hit the 2 stones off.

Good luck everyone!

Rshard · 10/12/2018 08:56

Have a wonderful trip @abbey!

Well done @toots!

1.5lbs off for me.

tootstastic · 10/12/2018 09:05

Thanks @Rshard well done to you too!
