Morning all!

I would normally drop a link to the spreadsheet here, but for some reason I've had to request access to it Confused

So until someone else - or @AthelstaneTheUnready - can sort this, I'm afraid I'll just have to start the thread without the link.

Oh Seafour, they sound like frenemies don’t they? Fuck ‘em.

BIWI · 19/06/2018 21:33

Oh dear @seafour they definitely weren't your friends, were they? Sad

I suppose vag counts as a protein, so I'd say go for it on Bootcamp - won't be any carbs in it Wink

@BIWI I’m grateful for all your hard work and for keeping us nicely in check!

@Rayna37 the salad was just half a bag of baby leaf salad leaves and the ratatouille was a diced aubergine, green pepper, courgette, shallot, salt, garlic and carton of chopped tomato (Sainsbury’s tetra pack ones).

Today was scrambled egg for breakfast, chicken skewers for lunch, Turkey and courgette burgers for dinner.

I still don’t know what I’m doing wrong!

Itchyknees · 19/06/2018 21:39

BIWI “vag”?

I’m clutching my pearls!Grin

BIWI · 19/06/2018 21:41

Nor do I, @RuffleBelly!

Are you on any medication? Are you under a lot of stress? Are you sleeping? These are all things that can impact on weight loss.

However, I'm remembering the cake, which wasn't that long ago Smile so perhaps you just need to KOKO and be patient for a bit longer?!

Your menu for today looks OK, but I'd suggest that it's still too low in fat

A bit late for weigh in day but I was 0.8 pounds less than yesterday which has taken me to over a stone off at last!

I’m in my 9th week of low carbing and have reached the point where meat and leaves aren’t cutting it anymore so tomorrow I’m going to attempt some kind of flatbread/cracker type thing. I have bought coconut flour, almond flour, psyllium husks, cream cheese, mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan and a LOT of eggs. I must be able to make something out of that!

Seafour · 19/06/2018 21:55

BIWI personally I'd be very very worried if I found evidence of carbs in my vagGrin or anyone else's for that matter.

Itchyknees · 19/06/2018 21:58

Claire8allthepies what are you going to do with the coconut flour? I made a sort of cloud bread thing but I can’t say it was marvellous. Am looking for inspiration!

farine · 19/06/2018 22:09

A friend just posted this on my Facebook page - made me smile

Ha! So true!

sheldonesque · 19/06/2018 22:19

I'm struggling to show the spreadsheet beyond lovelycuppytea.

No matter. My weight loss has stalled this week.

Stressed, sleeping bother - not unusual for me- and shift work possibly contributing.

I haven't touched chocolate* for 5 whole weeks. No crisps. No bread. That is a marvel for me.

I'm in this for the long haul.

Thank you all for keeping me motivated when I do my unsociable hours illicit lurking. Flowers x

*apart from the chocolate rubbing in the co-op. I will take the shame...

Gammeldragz · 19/06/2018 22:19

Put to shame by seafour gym bunny and Farine running (8 miles!), I did some floor exercises. Not much, some sit ups, squats, leg raises and planking. But enough to feel a burn and remind myself how good it feels to move.
DSIL (newly diagnosed t2 and recent LC convert) saw nurse today and she's lost a stone and a half in 5 weeks, nurse very impressed and also a LCer so very supportive too. So proud of her, she's really loving this WOE.

ScienceNut · 19/06/2018 22:20

@clare8alltherapies I made fathead pizza for dinner tonight. You have all the ingredients needed for the base.

www.ditchthecarbs.com/fat-head-pizza/

I made the recipieup and used 1/4 to make a pizza base another 1/4 made some crackers as well, have the rest of the dough in the fridge.

It was awesome, toppings used were some prosciutto ham, mascarpone and rocket.

It will be being repeated!

clare8allthepies · 19/06/2018 22:27

@Itchyknees I’m not exactly sure yet. I made fathead pizza with the coconut flour a couple of weeks back and it was ok but a bit on the soggy side. The recipe did mention that the dough could be quite hard to handle though, and mine definitely wasn’t so it might have needed more of the flour.

I only used coconut flour for it because the website said it was lower carb than almond flour, that seems to be wrong though so I think I’ll give it another try.

I also bought ground flaxseed too, a long time ago I made crackers out of flaxseed and Parmesan that were quite nice if a bit cardboardy, I’m going to try to find that recipe as well.

clare8allthepies · 19/06/2018 22:29

Oh cross post @ScienceNut thanks to my slow typing. Will definitely give it another go tomorrow.

RuffleBelly · 19/06/2018 22:39

@BIWI my turkey and courgette burgers had a dip type thing made with sour cream and full fat Greek yoghurt - it was a recipe on here in week 2 I think and that recipe alone makes this diet worth it as I love it!

I don’t feel my 1 cup cake alone equals four weeks of staying the same followed by a 5lbs gain but I will KOKO as I don’t have a better alternative and I can stick to this.

Medication wise I take metformin and inject insulin (although hardly any on this diet).

Sleep - very little. I have a two year old with sleep regression so bad it feels like having a newborn, I’m maybe getting 5 hours every 24.

Stress - a bit but not abnormally so.

Exercise - a lot, Wednesday is my only exercise free day although I still have 2 x brisk 30 minute walks to and from the station with a massive hill to contend with so me saying no exercise on a Wednesday just means no running / gym, not me sitting down doing nothing!

ScienceNut · 19/06/2018 22:39

Tomorrow’s plan is fathead crackers (to ise up mix) and smoked mackeral pate and salad. I’m looking forward to it!!

I did have to lay it between baking parchment to roll as it was sticky!

prettybird · 19/06/2018 22:46

RuffleBelly - sleep, or rather the lack of it, can make a massive difference.

KOKO for the moment - at least this WOE will give you consistent energy as opposed to peaks and troughs, which will help you cope with those newborn style sleep patterns. And then, when your 2 year old gets through their sleep regression, you should be rewarded with a satisfying whoosh. Smile

Seafour · 19/06/2018 22:53

Clare8allthepies Fathead pizza is much nicer made with ground almonds in place of coconut flour, it also makes a dough that's easier to handle.
I will dig out the recipe tomorrow and post it.

ilovecherries · 19/06/2018 23:07

I have pathetically eaten some scrambled eggs and bullion and have taken my protesting stomach to bed. I feel I deserve a 5lb whoosh for this carry on. Grin

Itchyknees · 19/06/2018 23:11

Totally worth 5lb.

I’ve had some sort of minced lamb bake topped with egg and cheese. I have no words for how greasy it was, but with a few Cajun spices and a blob of yoghurt, it wasn’t quite the bushtucker trial I had feared. I’ve still got to down 2liyres of water before bed. I shall be weeing like a horse. And with that image, goodnight all x

Leelaseye · 19/06/2018 23:28

Congrats on going sub 10 stone Justmuddlingalong. Hope you manage to hit 9 7 before your holiday - sounds doable.
My next goal will be 9 11 for a whole stone off since starting boot camp. That will make me my lightest since before DS was born (he's now 7).

I've been struggling with chocolate cravings whilst on my period the last few days. Managed to calm them a bit tonight by repeatedly sniffing DD's bag of chocolate buttons Grin

Love how you played it with your ex gym 'friends' seafour!

Hope you feel better soon and get your whoosh cherries.

prettybird · 19/06/2018 23:28

Pleased with myself today: went to a tasting of Georgian wines (36 of them!) and spat almost everything! Smile They were very nice too WineGrin

Came home and made pork belly and chorizo casserole, which dh and ds had with rice but I had with buttered asparagus and a salad (green leaves from the garden: pea shoots, parsley, some self-seeded rocket leaves, basel and oregano).

But the NSV is that I wore an old classic linen Hobbs suit that I found when I was looking for the dress I wore on Saturday night. I can't remember the last time I wore it. The skirt is a Size 14 (but from about 17 years ago so less vanity sizing) and the jacket Size 12. Ok, I couldn't do the jacket up Blush but it looked ok open - and slightly more casual, which was the "look" I was aspiring to.
