Day 1 headache

Hi inspired by you lovely lot I started the boot camp spreadsheet WOE today. All good as in I like the food and not hungry at all but now have a cracking headache- could be unrelated of course but is this a common thing? Thanks

Also snacking - can I?! On the allowed foods eg yesterday I had three meals plus 2 snacks - yoghurt in the am and celery and sardines in the afternoon. I'm prepared to not lose as much but feel I need the comfort snacks st the moment, hopefully this will wear off! 😕

A cracking headache on day 1 sounds a bit extreme, but if you had a really carb-heavy diet before it's not impossible.

The key thing is to ensure that

  • you are drinking plenty of water
  • you're eating plenty of fat
  • you're getting enough sodium, aka salt
  • and your other electrolytes (magnesium and potassium) are in balance, which means eating foods like salmon, avocado, spinach and full fat yoghurt (unflavoured)

Snacking in the early days is OK, but you genuinely won't need to snack between meals after a couple of weeks, as you'll find you're simply not hungry.
