Good morning all

I see from the end of last week's thread that some of us have been struggling with various demons.

We only have two weeks left, so time to gird your loins (however you do that!), and plough on.

Hopefully the snow has gone, or is disappearing rapidly, and that there's enough appropriate food in the shops. At least our problem is not being able to find what we want - I saw a very sad piece in the news yesterday about a dairy farmer, who was having to throw all his milk away, because the tanker couldn't get to his farm to collect it. So days' worth of money for him gone Sad

Anyway, here's the lovely new thread, and with the fantastic Spreadsheet of Fabulousness.

Good luck this week. Stick with it and keep the focus.

I also laughed at the old lover, cherries!

Eee, what about these? I've not tried them but they're on my list because they look crunchy and nice

www.dietdoctor.com/recipes/keto-seed-crackers

EeeSheWasThin · 07/03/2018 15:51

Ooh they look great, thanks Leapin

No physillum husk though in, wonder what that does? And can they do without it?!

Have just got my kale crisps out...not bad although I’ve made them very salty. Like seaweed in a Chinese restaurant.

EeeSheWasThin · 07/03/2018 15:53

Alma , sorry missed your suggestion there. I’ll look out for those, thanks.

Bluntness100 · 07/03/2018 15:55

Shag, you made me smile, my goals are like your goals. Clothes related. I don't do scales but I randomly try shit on to see if it fits. Sometimes it's a pleasant surprise, other times not so much and it's frustrating.

TempusEejit · 07/03/2018 16:45

@EeeSheWasThin try microwaving Babybels one at a time on full power for around 50-60 seconds each (put one a piece of greaseproof paper on top of a piece of kitchen roll, then put that straight onto the microwave turntable - whenever I've tried using a plate they burn for some reason). They spread out and become crispy, I top them with butter or cream cheese if I'm feeling particularly decadent!

AthelstaneTheUnready · 07/03/2018 16:53

Hoorah for Leap's 2lbs and *Alma's 1lb!

Stunt, it was 2 teaspoons of each - clearly more fat without additional 'stuff' to help absorb it than my body could cope with. Also, although it exited pretty swiftly, I was ravenous for the rest of the day Confused.

Great NSV, Cherries - genuinely a fabulous, BIG result.

Nice goals, Shag Wink

Rshard · 07/03/2018 16:56

So an NSV of sorts. Just came home from work and dh has declared the dress I was wearing is now too big for me. So if anyone wants to buy a size 14 Boden denim skirt dress, let me know! Joking aside I’m a bit gutted as it’s one if my faves, I might look at getting it adjusted?

StuntNun · 07/03/2018 17:22

Eee I put nine chorizo slices on kitchen roll in the microwave for about a minute. They go lovely and crispy and make good 'crackers' for cheese. Pepperoni and salami work too.

Bluntness100 · 07/03/2018 17:24

Well done rshard....another good feeling! Definetly some progress in here today,,,

Find a dress maker or dry cleaner who does alterations and have it taken in...

Destinysdaughter · 07/03/2018 17:33

Ive made almond flour crackers which were nice, made with Parmesan and egg whites. Also added rosemary, garlic salt and pumpkin seeds. Had them with home made mushroom pate. Yum!

I went round the charity shops today as I'm looking for loose lightweight clothes for my holiday in Marrakech. Found a pair of size 14, White M&S linen trousers for £1. And they fitted! No way would I have got in them in December, I've lost about 3 inches from my tum! I also noticed that clothes just hung better as I've lost some of the roll of fat from my middle. I actually look fatter than I am as all my weight goes on my tum and boobs, which is a lot harder to disguise than on a more pear shape. Was also weird ( but nice) to be looking at size 14 clothes instead of just size 16.

< happy dance > 😀

BerylStreep · 07/03/2018 17:36

Well done of the Levis Cherries! Now you need to play some TRex from the Levis adverts to channel your mojo. I think it was 20th Century Boy on one of them.

ShagMeRiggins · 07/03/2018 17:39

Rshard I second the dressmaker or seamstress route. If it’s a favourite and you want to wear it forever, it’s worth the cost.

Rshard · 07/03/2018 17:52

Thanks bluntness and shagme, I think I will get it altered, in fact I know someone who altered some trousers for me last time. I loved your NSV shagme, chuckled at my desk I did.

Nice shopping NSV there destinys

Twoo · 07/03/2018 19:00

Hi All I’ve enjoyed reading all about your NSV & SV. IN THE MAIN PEOPLE ARE DOING FANTASTIC ON THIS WOE.Oups sorry just seen cappie was on.

I’m trying really hard and I’m totally sticking to plan. Scales down about .4 since yesterday (had a weekly 2lb gain). It’s as if my bod doesn’t want to lose anymore :(

Almahart · 07/03/2018 19:31

Amazing cherries!

This restricting calories thing is still blowing my mind and makes sense of why I haven’t lost much this BC (cheats aside)

Have an NSV - picked out of the eBay pile a couple of tops that were too tight and they fitted perfectly!

Almahart · 07/03/2018 19:37

Food today

Pret salmon and egg pot
Ff yoghurt

Egg mayo with poached salmon and salad for lunch (too mayonnaisey)

Pork stroganoff with sautéed leeks and a small bowl of berries and cream for dinner

I had half a packet of chorizo crisps as recommended upthread by me before looking at calorie count. Yikes!

twinkledag · 07/03/2018 19:39

I don't post much but I do read all the posts.

I wanted to add my NSV - I'm wearing a skirt today that I was bursting out of after Christmas! Grin

BIWI · 07/03/2018 20:08

Re crispy things - M&S sell lovely pork crackling crisps - they're strips that are wound up into a spiral. They're in the chilled cabinet, not with packets of crisps
Here's a picture of them.

Another thing if you want something crispy and salty - it sounds weird! - is to roast some tenderstem broccoli, in a hot oven, with olive oil and salt and pepper.

Takes around 20 minutes, and the heads go really lovely and crispy. (but be careful as they do burn very quickly)

BIWI I do broccoli like that - it's lovely with a bit of crispy bacon crumbled over it after it comes out of the oven. Or toasted sunflower seeds. Or both - hell, why not?!

I wonder if I should be cutting my veg portions down a bit, as I've acquired another pesky pound from somewhere or other, despite sticking rigorously to plan, and with my holiday pretty close now.

Food today (and for the last few days, actually)

B: spinach omelette
D: stir fry veg (leeks, French beans, courgette, broccoli, little gem lettuce) finished with a glug of stock and some double cream. Lovely.

BerylStreep · 07/03/2018 20:39

I've been really hungry today. Not sure why. I also put on 2lbs since last week Hmm. I blame the bastarding Lidl roll - still.

B: fried egg and 2 small sausages. Coffee with AM&C
L: sliced poached chicken, coleslaw, mayo, cucumber & tomato. Lidl greek yoghurt with double cream and 4 strawberries
S / early dinner: Packet macadamias, coffee with AM&C, homemade egg mayo, slice cold roast beef. After all that I think I'll miss proper dinner.

Nan0second · 07/03/2018 20:59

Really interesting about the macros talk. Also v impressed with the smaller clothing. NSV: I’m now in small uniform instead of medium at work!
B creamy coffee
L leftover dinner from last night so slow roasted lamb with Brie cougette gratin and aubergine.
D: bacon with celeriac mash and the rest of the gratin
Post dinner: 10g dark chocolate, a spoon of peanut butter and 3 raspberries. I am actually v full but desperate to snack oddly
