Boot camp query - new starter

juliettaa · 04/02/2018 23:03

I'm new to this section of the forum and by the looks of it, a bit late to join the current boot camp.

How does boot camp work? Would I have to join right from the start? Reading some of the threads, it all looks a bit daunting with loads of info to take on board.

Anyone point me in the direction of where to start please?

Jump in to the thread @Juliettaa. We are a friendly bunch. The rules are all explained on the spreadsheet linked to on post one of each thread. A new week new thread starts today, come join us.

Yes, just come and join us on the week 5 thread. The first post of that thread has a link to the spread sheet with all the rules. Read these, come and introduce yourself on the current thread, and you are off :). People join all the time, plus there are people there who never actually stop between boot camps anyway. We’re nice and you’ll get lots of support.

Basically you’ll do two weeks strict BC to get you started, then you will move onto BC lite if you want, or stay on the stricter version, which I’ve done as I find it easier.

As ilovecherries says, we are all very friendly.

Our stories help inspire each other in different ways: by the struggles we face and mostly overcome, or the advice we can offer, the support to avoid carby twatdom, and the results - either in SVs (Scales Victories) or - even more importantly - NSVs (Non Scales Victories) Smile

ilovecherries is an inspiration, having lost 60lb in 9 months ShockStar. I've lost 42lb in 8 months - all without ever feeling hungry Smile Even more importantly, we gave lost lots of inches, especially off our waists.

Best bit of advice which I didn't follow myself : measure your waist now Smile It's a more important measure than your scales!

Thank you all for your replies. Wow, some impressive losses there!

I'll have a read of the week 5 thread and all of the other related boot camp threads. I'm going to need to do some prep work, clear out carbs from pantry/fridge.

Thanks for the waist measuring tip. I'll definitely do that before I start. It's all too easy to get focused on the scales and overlook other factors of weight loss.
