Does creamy tea work the same as creamy coffee?

It SOUNDS disgusting . But I hate my tea to feel in any way greasy. Whereas I could tip a tub of cream into my coffee and enjoy it. (I don't, I do show some restraint!). Guess you'd just have to try it and see.

I’ve never really been able to drink coffee .. does cream dilute it at all? What’s the plainest coffee I could try it in? Thanks

I just drink the kendo smooth (red label), as I don't like strong coffee - in fact, usually only have one a day. I also love these. Suitable for low carb (no sweeteners either). Sainsbury's sell them. beaniesflavourco.co.uk

Is this in context of having bulletproof coffee? If so there are various recipes for bulletproof green tea out there, or perhaps try adding your cream/oil etc to unsweetened zero carb almond milk.

If it's just a question of "how can I make my tea white because I don't like coffee" I use a 10ml portion of half cream per cup of tea - whitens it without tasting too creamy and less that half a gram of carb per portion.

My grandmother used to take her coffee so milky it didn't resemble normal coffee at all. And her instant coffee of choice was Douwe Egbert Gold which is quite a smooth/mild flavour. You could try that?

Do you like tea and cream cakes? if you have tried that it is probably similar BUT The dumping of butter and coconut oil in coffee or tea and whisking/blending is great. But stirring with a spoon not so.

So might need a little experiment and let us know how you found it.

Mummies , it would be gross. I once mistook half-and-half in the US (half cream, half milk) for milk and ruined a cup of tea. But then I don’t even like full fat milk in tea.

Given that full fat milk tastes disgusting in tea to me (compared to skimmed) I’m not even going there. I’ve found unsweetened almond milk to be the nicest low carb whitener for tea.

If you have lots of tea, then the carbs in milk can add up. And as we don't count them in Boot Camp, that can mean you're having too many.

Some people also find that dairy stalls them (butter doesn't count).

Catlady milk is very high in sugars, the lower the fat content, the higher the carbs.

I assumed milk and cream would be pretty much the same.

Not entirely helpful but I can say for definite that spray cream in tea is not good
Normal single cream might be nicer though

I water down single cream and use it like milk in tea when LCing. It's not the same (bit tangy I guess without the sweetness of milk) but I am a tea addict and if I have to do without sugar I need my tea!

Cream in tea is disgusting. But almond milk is surprisingly ok

I only drink tea with double cream in now and have done for about 2.5 years since I started LC eating. I use about 600mls a week easily and I think it’s delicious, I probably have upto 10 cups a day in fact. I make the tea as normal, add a slurp of cream and top up with cold water. This mixes the cream in otherwise it sits on top. I think tea any other way tastes odd now and nowhere near as nice.
