Low carb and hormones

Been lc for a week and a half, lost 7lb Shock Grin so very happy with that... But, I started spotting today and today have nasty headache nausea and more spotting - even though I'm on the pill and 4 days away from my break Angry
Has anyone else had this, any food to eat/ avoid to feel a bit less rank? Cheers Brew (bpc)

Apparently this is because your fat holds on to hormones - so as you lose fat, it releases (I think) oestrogen.

So although it doesn't feel like it, it's a good sign - means you're losing fat!

The headache and nausea is carb flu. This will be helped by making sure you're drinking plenty of water, and also that your electrolyte balance is taken care of, by eating plenty of sodium, magnesium and potassium.

So cook with salt and add it to your food; good sources of potassium and magnesium are salmon, spinach, avocado and full fat natural yoghurt.
