Morning all

Here's the spreadsheet - sorry to keep you all waiting!

So we have four full weeks before our final weigh-in - still time to lose half a stone if you stick at it.

Here's to a good week ahead Flowers

I probably shouldn't have colour coded it. It makes it look worse! Somehow in there I have a 3000 word essay to write..

Dust Flowers. I'm crap at relationship advice, but try not to take it personally, there are so many reasons why some friendships and relationships take off and some don't. I'm a firm believer that there is someone out there for everyone and if he isn't The One it's better to find out sooner than later. But it's no reflection on you, celebrate your amazing uniqueness!

If you do make it to Weetons (it's on West Park) I can fully recommend the Full English, I just donate the toast and tomatoes to DH. The scrambled eggs are amazing. And they do coffee with proper cream!

YoLoZammo · 03/07/2017 19:11

Oh dustmotes sorry to hear about the date aftermath. Sometimes blokes are just oblivious to the hidden meanings we read into things and he may not have meant what you thought. Here's hoping he contacts you again and it's just a miscommunication.

C4 you overwhelm me yet again with your positivity and pragmatism. We all have so much to learn from you.

Well done everyone for this week's victories. I weighed myself this morning and was inexplicably a lot heavier than yesterday so I'm pretending I didnt see it and will weigh again tomorrow. Not cheating just an alternative view Wink. I'm waiting for AF to piss off and give me proper scale readings.

I'll log food later tonight.

Joining a gym this week!

dustmotesinthesun · 03/07/2017 19:13

Thanks guys. I find it really to go from being rejected to wailing and gnashing my teeth and thinking 'I'm never going to find someone' but I am trying to tell myself very firmly that that's rubbish. Everyone goes through this sort of stuff and there are lots of other nice men out there. Much better to be free to find the right one than get sucked in dating someone who's not quite right. This guy was quite pretty though so just a shame not to have had a bit more of a chance to kiss his face off Grin

dustmotesinthesun · 03/07/2017 19:15

It's ok yolo. He did say he barely uses his phone so still a chance he'll suddenly make contact but also said that he goes on lots and lots of dates and most don't go anywhere. So maybe that's just his thing. Whatever floats his boat. Having a disability does put most some people off so it might just have been that.

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 03/07/2017 19:20

C4 Youre an inspiration, I can't imagine doing a half, I've been saying I'd sign up for one and go it before I'm 40...im 40 next month Blush
I weighed this evening, after a week of this WOE I've lost 5lbs which is amazing really, I was doing it halfheartedly for the first few days and I'm practically evangelical about it now! I also had a boozy evening both sat and Sunday, really didn't expect to lose more.
I've had a rubbish day, had a few drinks with dh last night, then after dropping off to sleep about midnight ds woke at 12.30 until 2.30am. Up at 6...i dozed off and therefore late getting Up, forgot my whole lunch and breakfast....starving all morning, long day of teaching and very hangry...
Ended up popping to Tesco in the lunch break, had to spend about 8 quid to get a lunch I could eat! Brought the rest home, but just annoying there was nothing I could pick up.
B. Coffee
S. Bacon out of a bacon bun (I threw away the bun...)
L. Chicken with skin on, salad, cashew nuts and a couple of blackberries.
D. More salad, coleslaw and leftover roast lamb.

StuntNun · 03/07/2017 19:21

Nasch you can get the Snaffling Pig pork scratchings from Ocado. My local pub also sells them which is dangerous.

Clear let me get back to you on the familial hypercholesteraemia as I'm not an expert. There are reasons for concern about a low carb high fat diet in people that carry a certain apolipoprotein type. Your lipid profile looks fine at a glance so that's a good sign. In people that are genetically predisposed to chronically high LDL then a Mediterranean-style low carb approach may be more appropriate to limit saturated fat intake. Unfortunately there really isn't clear scientific data because hardly anyone tests for apolipoproteins so there's just no information out there. Cholesterol testing is cheap and easy and it means that healthcare providers rely on it far more than it really warrants. There's also serious debate over the relevance of cholesterol levels. We know that high cholesterol levels are a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. But we really don't know that lowering cholesterol levels (e.g. by diet or statins) makes any difference at all. It depends on whether the cholesterol is a key part of the process of atherosclerosis or whether it is simply a marker of atherosclerosis. I must stress that I am not a medical professional and I cannot advise you on a health condition. I am happy to do a bit of research and give you my opinion if you think it would be useful.

Naschkatze · 03/07/2017 19:58

Stunt thanks! I'm starting to feel like the only person who doesn't shop from Ocado!

Sorry about the date dust! Mr Right will come along soon.

Ragz What are you studying?

Oh c4! Hope you're being well looked after and get better soon.

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 03/07/2017 20:05

Hi halfthesize - welcome!

C4 hope they can sort you quickly.

Period started today. Mine used to be incredibly irregular, then went to a textbook 28 day cycle just before bootcamp started, now they're going screwy again. Although this month has been 28 days, so maybe it's settling down again.

Food today:
B - the usual microwave scrambled egg & chorizo
L - Big barbecued salmon salad with mozzarella
D - chicken thighs & rocket salad & mayo

Hubba hubba

OldBooks · 03/07/2017 20:20

Bugger C4 hope they get you sorted soon.
Dust sorry you didn't get more handsome man smoochies.
Nasch Ocado is way out of my league, we get the lovely Morrisons van Grin
A few crappy days reported, let's hope that's it for the week and it can only get better.

Not a bad day considering it started fairly rubbish, AF was heavy overnight and I couldn't stop the room spinning round when I woke up, eating then going back to bed for a bit helped!

B: FF yoghurt + creme fraiche + cinnamon
L: leeks and shallots fried in butter with egg, sour cream and mozzarella. Waited 15 mins after eating it and still felt peckish so had a spoon or two of yoghurt
T: roast aubergine, courgette, garlic and halloumi

Was in the park with DD and felt hungry, tummy rumbling, but no snacks on me so ignored it and it was manageable. Never got to the hangry eat my arm phase which was great. I need to stop being scared of hunger.

JiminnyCricket · 03/07/2017 20:21

Oh C4 you never do things by halves do you Flowers

Well I went to spin and LOVED it tonight for some reason Confused grinned my way through it to the point where my PT hopped on the bike next to me and joined me rather than standing in front of me talking me through it Grin she didn't have to push me and I pushed my own resistance up because I wanted to work. I had a great time racing her in the sprints and she was as knackered as I was by the end Grin

Genuinely cannot believe how much I've come on in such a short time. First class 2 weeks ago I couldn't stand up in the pedals for more than 15 seconds.. today 60% of the class was hill climbing standing up and the rest was sit down sprints.

She weighed me but didn't tell me what it was, she did ask where I was in my cycle though so I think I gained, to be expected though on first day of AF! Told her all about my shit week and how I felt I'd let things slipped a bit but she was just really glad I'd come to training every day Smile

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 03/07/2017 20:33

Just book marking on the phone. Will check weight later. Long weekend here this weekend so retaining water after a 12 hour day trip to see a swinging bridge at Souris. MB. Think it will be a pound or 2 up.

Dust, that is a great book, very funny, insightful, helpful. Sorry for eveyones' sadnesses today.

ShastaBeast · 03/07/2017 20:43

I need to catch up. I didn't have the chance to weigh this morning as usual due to volunteering. Weighed tonight and am slightly down, not enough to mark on the spreadsheet but in the right direction. Is it usually higher in the evening anyway?

BIWI · 03/07/2017 20:52

Yes, Shasta - because you're weighing everything that you've eaten and drunk during the day!!!

@C4pinkwheels - sorry to hear your update. Hope you're OK

Oldbooks I go and do my own shopping Shock mainly at Tesco! Grin

I made these this afternoon:
www.quintessentially.com/insider/hemsley-hemsley-recipe-paradise-bars
I left out the honey and upped the vanilla extract a bit to make them, I think, BClight friendly. (Are they okay?!)
I also made them smaller so got 30 out of that recipe. They are just like a Bounty! One piece has less than 3g of carbs according to nutracheck and one was definitely enough as they're quite rich. I've put most in the freezer and plan to take them to a party I'm going to in a couple of weeks.

Food:
Cheese and leek omelette.
Broccoli, leek and cream cheese soup, double Gloucester cheese.
Snack: one of the 'paradise bars'
Baked salmon (with garlic, butter and parsley), cauli rice and spinach. 8 strawberries.

Kleptronic · 03/07/2017 21:17

Aw c4 feel better.

secretsignal · 03/07/2017 21:21

So, those pork scratchings that I was definitely not going to eat a whole bag of, erm...Blush
Do NOT buy them

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 03/07/2017 21:42

Hehe secret I ate a whole bag of the awfully posh ones on the way back from Little Mix on Saturday!

StuntNun · 03/07/2017 22:07

OldBooks I can't get a Morrisons delivery in my area I get deliveries from Ocado, Tesco and Sainsburys and I don't notice that Ocado are any more expensive. They're all good for different things.
