Morning all

Glad to see some positive news already this morning - [flowers[] Hesdeadjim

Here's the spreadsheet for your official reckoning

So we have four weeks left. A good push now and you could still lose at least 4lbs, if not half a stone.

Here's to a good week Gin

Hi All, just checking in to say thanks to everyone, especially BIWI and Stuntnun for your continued support. I've been lurking a lot and keeping on message but feeling a bit stuck. I tried a smaller size of trousers (yes, I have the same pair in size 8 - 16 (was up to 22) so feeling very pleased with myself.

Hesdeadjim · 23/03/2017 13:17

Omg omg omg omg I got on the scales to have a sneaky peak and THERE'S A 16 AT THE FRONT Shock

I haven't seen that for 3 years Grin

StuntNun · 23/03/2017 13:57

That's the best feeling Finally. When I was losing weight I had a pair of jeans I had bought the week before I found out I was pregnant with DS1. I had kept them for 12 years so it was a big accomplishment when I could wear them again.

wombattoo · 23/03/2017 16:11

Congratulations Hesdead You have done fantastically on bc. Thanks

BIWI · 23/03/2017 17:29

Brilliant results all round! Sorry - have been absent (again!) with work, and on a management training course all day, so haven't had any time to post, but it looks like you're all doing fine without me Grin

Re the next Bootcamp, I don't know. But don't worry - we'll keep the conversation going once these 10 weeks are up, so there will be continued support and chat.

And now, off for Gin with the team here.

Thank you Captain!!

And well done He'sdead. So nice to break a stone barrier. I was originally about 17 stone (years ago now) so sitting here at 11 stone something I can only say keep going. You can do this! It's made such a difference to my life. It's worth all the work.

GuyMartinsSideburns · 23/03/2017 18:32

I'm doing terribly so ill check in more often to keep on track. I've got jeans and knickers I haven't been able to wear since before dh was poorly and I'd like to, once he was ill I didn't really care and I put a stone back on, I'm still carrying it. In a bit of a crappy carb trap at the moment tbh and feeling shit so hopefully this is my last bloody straw type thing.

Il have a good whacking with your stick thanks BIWI.

GuyMartinsSideburns · 23/03/2017 18:36

Could someone enter my weight pls? 130 Flowers

wombattoo · 23/03/2017 19:27

Someone has done it Guy

GuyMartinsSideburns · 23/03/2017 19:39

Great thanks Smile

BursarsFrogs · 23/03/2017 20:17

Well done Dogblep, Hesdead and Captain. I'm starting to think I might just get through this Bootcamp too, and without having a major ED relapse, too.

I had a slightly higher carb day today, since I was out since morning. Nothing too bad, I hope, and resisted getting wine on the way home. I got told by a friend that I need to get myself new trousers, as the ones I was wearing were looking all baggy (they're supposed to be skinny)! Took me a moment to realise she was hinting that I'd lost some weight. I was worrying about washing them wrong...

Kleptronic · 23/03/2017 23:00

The people who live in my house bought kfc from a drive in on the way home. I had to hold the bags. One of them was going to EAT IT NEXT TO ME on the sofa. Was.

I didn't eat any and I haven't gone postal. I ate leftover broccoli, cauliflower, spring onion and cream cheese. I'd like to say it was delicious but next to the kfc smells I just can't. But I won. GNNNAAAGH.

Veryflummoxed · 24/03/2017 06:39

Oh well done kleptronic. If mine bring home takeaway I send them, or me, to the furthest point in the house. I had a major carb set back last night, entirely of my own doing. I feel very cross with myself this morning and will say no more.
Welcome Thing101. Add yourself to the bottom of the spread sheet if you want to and just join in. Lots of fantastic support from all and expert wisdom here from BIWI.

Hesdeadjim · 24/03/2017 07:17

Morning all :)

Went to the gym last night, 10 minutes cardio then 40 minutes on weights so I'm very hurty today!

Thanks stunt I really feel I've found the 'thing' that's working for me and it's all down to you guys Star

I've NEVER lost weight so consistently and avoided binges so completely. It's a huge deal for me to not be craving and I'm now fully adamant that before boot camp I was insulin resistant. I had every symptom even down to the dark ring around my neck. It would make sense, I was 19st 1lb on New Year's Day 2017 so there's no way I could be carrying that weight at 5ft 5 and not have some issues from it.

The cravings still come now and again, but they are not the same as the all engulfing, finger cramping super cravings I used to have where my body would be screaming for something about 3 hours after I'd had lunch Hmm I recognise now this was completely down to blood sugar crashes. It's so obvious when you stop and think about it.

That's totally gone now though and the new cravings I get are nothing in comparison. Totally manageable :)

Pre-planned take away for dinner tonight, I'm having a chicken kebab with salad without the pita bread with loads of mayo Grin

I'm a bit nervous about what happens after boot camp. I need somewhere to check in otherwise I'm scared of falling off. Will you guys still be running a thread somewhere?

KOKO everyone :)

boatgirl81 · 24/03/2017 07:46

Kleptronic, KFC is my guilty pleasure, you did amazing to resist it!

I have bought some wings and drum sticks for this weekend to try and create a low carb versions of soughts, anyone have any recipe suggestions?

Hesdeadjiim, I feel exactly the same, I have never lost weight as well as this and kept at it for so long. I normally leave a diet after about 2 weeks, having spent all the money on fancy kit or weird milkshake powders for example! This has been a revelation but am also a bit worried about what happens after. Are there any long term dangers with continuing to do the bootcamp until we are at the weight we want?

Veryflummoxed · 24/03/2017 08:38

Hesdeadjim you have done amazingly well. I first bootcamped last May. There's always been a thread running between bootcamps since then for which I am very grateful.

CaptainBraandPants · 24/03/2017 08:50

Thanks BIWI
hesdead yes, they'll be an ongoing chat thread. I know that, I've just never got that far before. Blush
I'm at a conference type thing today, fully catered, so I suspect I'll be eating the sandwich fillings again. Grin
Working this weekend, but have got the ingredients in to do the fathead pizza tomorrow, so looking forward to that.
Hope everyone has a fab weekend.

Hesdeadjim · 24/03/2017 09:38

Aaaahhh brill, really glad there's an ongoing chat, I definitely need the support.

I think the best thing about this whole thing has been that now, being a healthy weight on my wedding day on 14th April 2018 is now actually looking possible. That's an amazing feeling :) There's a long long way to go yet, but there's a chance.

explodingkittens · 24/03/2017 13:28

Hi all, just checking in to say, some amazing losses, well done!

I'm feeling so chuffed with myself as I have really stuck to it - although it's been pretty easy, tbh, so much lovely food - and have now broken the 10stone barrier for the first time in about 5 years! So that makes around 11-12lbs off this Bootcamp (didn't weigh at the start so not totally accurate) which is bloody amazing.

But... The best bit is that I can now do up a beautiful skirt that I bought online a while ago and have never been able to wear. It is so gorgeous that when it arrived I couldn't bear to return it even though it clearly didn't fit at all Blush But I'm going out to dinner tonight and I'm gonna wear it!!

Plus, I ordered a couple of dresses from sites recommended on S&B (Baukjen and the Jaeger outlet) and they arrived and fit beautifully. The Baukjen one is very slinky but looks great - just thrilled!

I feel amazing, tbh. Plus, it sounds awful but am quite looking forward to the next week as both ds and Dp are away, so no need to worry about fitting my WOE around anyone else - looking forward to dropping another few pounds with ease!

Also...I have cheekbones. Who knew?

explodingkittens · 24/03/2017 13:30

Apologies, that previous post is a bit over-excited! But it is nice to feel good about oneself and to be able to wear lovely clothes again rather than sticking to the 'hide the gut' baggy stuff.

Hesdeadjim · 24/03/2017 13:38

explodingkittens you deserve to be over excited! Bloody get on with it! Grin

FinallyHere · 24/03/2017 13:51

Absolutely explodingkittens isn't it great to have hope again.

BIWI · 24/03/2017 15:51

Brilliant!

I've had a horrible two weeks with work taking me away to all manner of strange places, where food choices were less than limited, so I feel horrible now. And have triggered huge carb cravings. I had to really prise myself away from the Pret sandwiches today. I did end up making sensible choices, but it was hard!

OP posts:
wombattoo · 24/03/2017 18:03

BIWI I've had a couple of weeks just like that. Pants.

Hesdead There is an ongoing chat thread but it can get very quiet. I usually check in just to keep the thread alive Grin

CaptainBraandPants · 24/03/2017 18:38

exploding Well done, I agree that you deserve to be over excited. I would be, too. Have a fab night out in your gorgeous skirt.
Hesdead I'll look forward to a wedding photo in year or so.
BIWI Do we need to chase you with your own stick? Grin

My conference today was more interesting than expected, although the food was fairly pants.
Had black coffee all morning, managing to avoid the danish pastries and biscuits. For lunch, had the filling from a couple of tuna mayo sandwiches and a chickeny one, plus a few crudités. Didn't eat the bread, or potato wedges or samosa or brownies...
Then, herbal tea this afternoon and again avoided the biscuits.
This was a conference of HCP's. I think even if you didn't want to eat low carb, but vaguely "healthily", it was fairly shocking. I've been to many of these over the years and not really thought about how unhealthy the food actually is before Hmm
Was pretty hungry on the way home, so stopped off at an M&S food for cheese and almonds.
DH isn't home until 8pm, but I'll be ok until then now that I've had my snack. Will have salmon with courgetti and buttered asparagus for dinner.
