Morning campers Flowers

Here's the spreadsheet, once again

Hopefully those of you who have seen things slow or stop over the last couple of weeks will see the scales starting to behave themselves a bit better now Smile

One thing to be careful of, perhaps to check, is that you aren't letting carbs creep back into your diet.

If you have been keeping a food diary, why not go back to your first week and compare what you were eating then with what you're eating now?

Or go back to the week 1 chat thread and check out people's menus.

It's very easy to let things slip a little, especially once you move on to Bootcamp Light.

Hope you all have a good week.

Oh yes.. bacon, completely forgot about bacon - definitely having that tomorrow - great idea, thanks FinallyHere. Will just have to eat it all before the children try to.

BIWI · 07/03/2017 08:34

wishful sorry I forgot you had asked to go on the spreadsheet Blush

Re breakfast - don't treat it as a special meal - just eat as if it were a normal meal. And if the thought any food is making you feel sick, then don't eat it! This is a WOE which should be about enjoyment of food.

I cooked a tuna omelette (with shallots and chives) for breakfast today - I was really hungry and it was surprisingly nice. Promised to make a cottage pie for dinner, with swede mash, as we ended up having broccoli instead of swede yesterday. I like a cottage pie, but it's such a faff to make. Meh. Not sure about lunch, but since I'm home today, can easily cook something. There's plenty of veg and halloumi or sausages around...

GreenGoose21 · 07/03/2017 09:57

Hi Everyone,

I'm finally joining in the thread after lurking on here for the past four weeks. Blush I've become really aware of how much support I get from the conversation on here, and as I'm checking in a couple of times a day I figured I really ought to contribute.

I have concocted myself a new breakfast this morning, which I'll share in the hope it gets the BIWI seal of approval.

Aldi's Golden Omega Milled Linseeds, about 50g microwaved with water and half a tsp of stevia to make a porridgy type affair, then a splodge of single cream to wet it and make it tastier. All in, that's 3g carbs for the linseeds, plus a bit more for the cream and stevia. I could probably have afforded a few raspberries in there too.

I am definitely getting tired of the eggs - though last week's breakfast success was a small portion of Smoked Haddock, with mushrooms cooked in butter and a scrambled egg. Now that was vlc and delicious Smile so I'm really hoping it doesn't fall foul of the processed foods rule.

Congrats to everyone who's still KOKO - and to those late arrivals, this is really working. I actually can't believe how well.

BursarsFrogs · 07/03/2017 10:02

I'm not quite sure if I actually love eggs, or if I've just successfully fooled myself into thinking that I love eggs...

Veryflummoxed 189 can someone add me please.

STS. A bit disappointed as apart from last night stayed on track, but to be honest I enjoyed everything I've eaten this week and I didn't put anything on. What's to complain about?

StuntNun · 07/03/2017 10:36

Bursars I love eggs. I had six yesterday Blush and I've already eaten three today. My DS4 is allergic to eggs and I couldn't have any for over a year while I was breastfeeding him. Needless to say I'm making up for it now.

wishfulblinking · 07/03/2017 10:50

Don't worry at all, BIWI - all good and thanks!

I think it's probably just the change in food that's making me feel a bit queasy. I'm just not used to such rich food I guess, especially at breakfast.

Apart from missing fruit horribly, I'm doing good so far. Really impatient to fast forward a week and see if I lose any weight.

Hesdeadjim · 07/03/2017 12:27

Hey everyone :) great to see so many people from the first week are still KOKO.

I've struggled with energy levels the last 2 days, I've just felt really tired and "meh" and craving food more than usual. Looked back over my days in MFP and I only drank about 1 litre of water both days and I should be drinking 4.. so I think I found the problem Blush

I have a huge jug of green tea on my desk this morning and I'll re-fill it this afternoon with water, then I'm off to the gym later so will have another litre then.

[BursarsFrogs] I'm the same, I just can't love eggs. I've tried, and with ketchup on toasted white bread they are bearable Grin but otherwise I'm not a fan. I'm managing to avoid them pretty well though, it's just breakfasts I struggle with without them.

SylviasDaughter · 07/03/2017 14:37

I adore eggs but still have the "no more than 4 a week; its bad for cholesterol" advice from the Dark Ages ringing in my ears Confused

SylviasDaughter · 07/03/2017 14:38

Also Day 2 Carb Flu. Woe.

Lucy7400 · 07/03/2017 14:51

I find it helpful to report what I eat on here so here goes:

B. 2 rashers of bacon and a fried egg.
L. Carrot and coriander soup followed by greek yogurt with a dash of honey (naughty) , almonds and chopped hazlenuts.
D. Out tonight so will report back.

I went for a long walk and stopped off at a pub for a diet coke. I really should hah had water but was just pleased it wasn't a beer.

ragz134 · 07/03/2017 15:57

Haven't posted for for a while.
Yesterday - omelette pizza, beef stroganoff with kale, bag of crisps (first crisps of the year, I gave blood and they were the lowest carb snack offered!).
Today - omelette pizza, choc cream pot (40ml double cream, half a square of 82% dark choc, microwaved 30secs. Yum! - I was cold.) Dinner will be pork chop with whatever veg we have left as shopping day tomorrow.
New low weight today, 190lbs exactly. So close to the 180s!

ragz134 · 07/03/2017 15:59

That should say food not for. And 30ml cream not 40. I had been making it with a whole square of choc but experimented with half and it was still lovely. Less than 2g sugar! I only have this a few times a week.

SummerSazz · 07/03/2017 20:45

2lbs this week and 12 off overall (week 8 I think!)

Also had a sneaky weigh today and I have finally broken the 12st barrier which is a fab mental boost. Celebrated with a L3 shred Grin

L: Tuna and asparagus salad with basil oil
S: Cheese and 3 slices pepperoni
D: Roast chicken with skin, broccolli, kale & mayo. 3 tablespoons ff yoghurt

RupertsMum2 · 07/03/2017 21:24

Sts this week (my week 8). My food choices have been good but I have had too much wine. I will endeavour to do better this week!

BIWI · 07/03/2017 21:30

@Lucy7400

B. 2 rashers of bacon and a fried egg

Perfect! A great start to the day

L. Carrot and coriander soup

Not really so perfect - did you check the carb count?

followed by greek yogurt with a dash of honey (naughty) , almonds and chopped hazlenuts.

Honey isn't just naughty, it's not allowed on Bootcamp! And this was a pretty carby meal altogether.

What have you had this evening?

You posted earlier in the thread about only losing 3lbs - but this is exactly what happens if you don't follow Bootcamp properly!

Evening. I've been to knitting group this evening, where I happily drank my lemon and mandarin tea, whilst surrounded by those who were eating cake, teacakes and crumpets! Halo
Got home and made an omelette with garlic, mushroom, spinach and cream cheese filling. Then cheese sprinkled on top and grilled. I think this is one of my favourite, quick and easy suppers. I'm absolutely stuffed now though.
I managed to stick to two creamy coffees today and no snacks, but had broccoli soup and halloumi/ olives for lunch.
I'm a member of a gym but haven't been for ages a bit. I've booked into a bootcamp (I thought it was appropriately named) for 8.30 Sunday, so I've got to go now Grin

SummerSazz · 07/03/2017 22:06

Thanks BIWI 😊. Hoping for the stone off mental boost soon too.

CaptainBraandPants · 07/03/2017 22:10

Just reading through and well done Summersazz you know how to celebrate in style. Grin
Ragz that chocolate pot sounds good, I think I'll have to try that when I'm feeling peckish
Hesdead hope the drinking has gone better today.
Bursar I'm not a great egg lover and can go days without eating them and I can still eat this woe without any problem.
Greengoose welcome.

nekobus · 07/03/2017 22:36

So lovely to read about more losses! Well done everyone Smile

I can feel my jeans a bit looser and have definitely lost that bloated feeling I had after my carb binge. Today was pretty good. I'm not really hungry but do crave hot drinks through the day - I've been trying just hot water which seems to satisfy me!

Today
B - coffee and cream x 2, babybel, pepperami
L - 2 fried eggs, spinach, 2 rashers bacon
D - 2 heck sausages with mozzarella melted on top, salad

Hesdeadjim · 08/03/2017 06:59

Does anyone else wake up in the morning with food guilt even when they've stuck to the diet the day before?? Confused

I've only noticed since I've been on this WOE, but every morning when I wake up I feel guilty until I remember what I had to eat the day before and reassure myself it was all on plan... that's not normal is it? I haven't strayed off the WOE at all for 4 and a half weeks and I've lost 16.5lbs in that time, so I KNOW I'm not doing anything wrong but I can't shake this feeling that I've 'cheated' even when I haven't! I've been on some form of diet since I was 7 years old (when mum put me on slimfast), so maybe I just accociate food I enjoy with guilt? Anyone got any insights here?

I went to the gym last night. I've had to stop running because my weight means it's too much impact on my legs and I've given myself shin splints again Hmm, so I'm on the stationary bikes for now for 30 minutes of interval training (HIIT) then 45 minutes of weight training with DP. It's frustrating because all I want to be able to do is run 5k, but my weight is holding me back even though my energy and cardio is good enough to do it no problem. Cannot WAIT to get down to 15st, then I can hopefully start running again.

Yesterday's food was:
B: protein shake
L: avocado, bacon, tomato and mayo salad
D: satay chicken stir fry with mange tout, purple sprouting broccoli, chicken, soy, chilli, garlic, ginger and peanut butter. It was yummy :)

SummerSazz · 08/03/2017 07:45

Stone is off!!

Celebrated with L1 30 Day shred 😁

I have physio o my leg tonight so won't be able to do much exercise in the next couple of days. However already clocked up 2 runs, a long walk and 2 shreds since Sat so feeling good.

Jim - hope your legs recover soon - I have plantar fascititis in my foot which causes me to run properly so have shin splints, a stress fracture last year etc etc. Hoping physio can sort it once and for all....
