Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

... which looks like it's going to have some fabulous results this morning! Well done Hesdeadjim. Flowers

Don't be discouraged if you haven't seen a loss - remember, weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for weight loss slowing down or even reversing.

Just make sure you're following Bootcamp rules - especially eating fat and drinking water - and beware of carb creep. It's very easy to think 'a bit' of this or 'a spoonful' of that won't make a difference - but it really does.

Well done ragz and Imustbepatient. :)

I cooked cauliflower rice today. I don't have a food processor, so haven't had it before. For some reason never realised you can just grate it. Grated and roasted in the oven, it was okay. Tasteless really, which was just fine.

B: Greek yoghurt with blueberries.
L: Coconutty chicken curry with cauli rice.
D: Cheese omelette and a tomato.
Snacks: two pieces of dark chocolate, and a creamy coffee.

I'm feeling bloated and constantly hungry. Not holding much hope for a loss tomorrow... :(

PissPotPourri · 05/03/2017 19:47

OMG I just wrote an essay and have just lost it.
Was agreeing with bursars about being hungry and that I'm really struggling now. I'm eating more allowed stuff because hunger will make me lose my way, but I don't want to eat more because I want the scales to be my friend tomorrow.
I just really want a Hot cross bun. But had a chicken and asparagus salad instead. And today's pub roast was just sad-no potatoes, no gravy, no Yorkshire no carrots no wine, no stuffing.
But I want to feel good this summer and I like the fact I no longer think about wine every evening and so I will keep on keeping on.
But it's so hard at the moment and I AM SO FED UP OF BEING COLD.
Good luck tomorrow everyone and I hope you're all feeling more positive than me right now.

CaptainBraandPants · 05/03/2017 19:48

We'll done imust
bursar I just microwave my cauli rice, then at the end mix in a good sized knob of butter and half a teaspoon of turmeric. It does lift it up, flavour wise and looks very pretty, too.

Food today has been:
B - 3 x creamy coffee. I'm trying to stick to two, but, er, didn't.
L - cheese! Was snacking on cheese whilst making DC's lunch and think I over did it a bit! Didn't get round to getting more food as I was full up. Was bloody lovely though. Stilton, Brie and Red Devil if any other cheese lovers wants to know which ones. Grin
D - roast pork, crackling, mashed cauli, broccoli and sprouts sautéed in butter with lardons. Enough for lunch tomorrow, too. Yum.
S - a teaspoon or two of peanut butter and have bought raspberries, which I shall have a few with cream later.

Don't think I've lost much this week, but I know I haven't drank enough and had a decent whoosh last week, so not too bothered.
Hope the scales are kind to everyone tomorrow.

CaptainBraandPants · 05/03/2017 19:50

Piss cross posted, but well done for persevering. That pub roast doesn't sound great. Hope you get the result you deserve tomorrow. Flowers

BursarsFrogs · 05/03/2017 19:57

CaptainBraandPants I don't actually even have a microwave, as we're ridiculously limited in work surfaces in the kitchen. I read somewhere that roasting the cauli rice made it less soggy than other methods, but next time I'll stir in some butter and turmeric. :)

Piss I've not tried to do a proper roast thing at all. I think lack of roasties, stuffing and yorkshires would just be too sad.

Good luck for tomorrow, everyone.

BIWI · 05/03/2017 20:22

When I make cauliflower rice I fry it - sort of like egg fried rice!

I wok-fry shallots, ginger and garlic and then stir in the cauliflower, along with any other veg I might be using. Add a bit of soy sauce, sometimes some lemon or lime juice or possibly a dollop of harissa.

Yesterday:
B: buttery scrambled eggs, spinach with cheese and streaky bacon
D: chicken with a bit of tomato sauce, salad and mozzarella

Today:
B: buttery scrambled eggs, spinach and cheese
L: a few teaspoons of coyo and a couple of raspberries
D: roast lamb, Swede and Brussels sprouts
3/3.5l of water done so far.

I've gone to bed so late this weekend I have left myself with no time in the morning and zero energy to drag myself to the gym.

Visaste · 05/03/2017 20:51

Evening all. Well done on all the losses!

I've just made the spiced lamb shoulder with curried cauliflower from the Tom Kerridge Dopamine Diet book - absolutely delicious! Highly recommend. I replaced onion with shallots to make it lower carb. Yum.

Well done Bursars on the non-purging. Really sympathise Flowers

Had lunch out at Prezzo - chargrilled chicken breast with gorgonzola and mushroom sauce with a side salad. V nice it was too.

My scales are totally buggered - weighed this morning and got 4 different readings depending where I placed the scales on the bathroom floor. They're new scales as well which is v annoying Hmm. Anyway I think I've lost some of what I gained. And have been 100% back on track since my slip disaster earlier in the week.

Good luck for tomorrow all!

wishfulblinking · 05/03/2017 22:43

Hi everyone,

I'm 4 weeks behind you all - today is my first day (I'm in Australia but English and so it's morning here now). Hope it's okay to join so late?

I've gone back and read much of the first week's chat so I think I know what I'm in for.

Would someone be able to add me to the spreadsheet? I tried to but then was worried I'd mess the whole thing up. I'm 161 pounds. Thanks so much.

Just had my first bf - buttery scrambled eggs, bit of smoked salmon and some avocado. Was really delicious and filling.

Thanks for having me!

Hi is Jicama allowed?

Principle Nutrient Value Percentage of RDA
Energy 38 Kcal 2%
Carbohydrates 8.82 g 7%
Protein 0.72 g 1%
Total Fat 0.19 g

Hesdeadjim · 06/03/2017 06:42

Mmmmmmmorning :)

3.5lbs off this week, well chuffed with that!

It takes me to a total 16.5lbs lost in my fist month Grin

Start weight: 18st 5lbs

Current weight: 17st 2.5lbs

Most importantly, I now weigh less than I did when I did weight watchers last year and it took me 4 months to lose a stone... I've achieved more in a month on LCHF than I ever thought possible.

BIWI and the guys, from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!!! StarFlowers

StuntNun · 06/03/2017 06:50

Half a pound off for me this week so I'm very happy with that.

BursarsFrogs · 06/03/2017 06:58

I've put on 1.5lb. Disheartened, but must KOKO. It's actually 1.5lb less than it was Saturday morning after the binge, so could be worse.

I've stayed away from wine the past week, but all in all my daily carbs have probably been higher - blueberries, chocolate, dairy etc.

Plan today is:
B: scrambled eggs
L: salad of mozzarella, tomato, (avocado?), cucumber and leaves
D: pork shoulder steak and swede mash (possible some other veg in the mash too)

ASDismynormality · 06/03/2017 08:04

4lbs off this week! Still finding it so strange that I'm eating fat but losing weight! Since 11th Jan I have lost 2st 0.5lb - fabulous Smile

BIWI · 06/03/2017 08:12

Some good results here = brilliant Star
