Evening all!

Just getting this out there, so that everyone knows where to go/what to do in the morning.

Here's the link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I'd like to say a massive thank you and Flowers to Sayrra and Wombattoo who set this up and maintain it for us all.

PLEASE don't touch anything other than the cell where you input your weight.

If your name isn't on the list, just add it to the bottom, and it will be magically re-alphabetised to include you.

It's called the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness because of all the information and resources that are available to us. Look at the tabs at the bottom - the rules are there, along with the veg counter, and all manner of resources for you to read up more about low carbing.

If you can't access it, or can't input your weight, just add your weight to the chat thread, and someone will do it for you. (I believe it's difficult to do it from your phone).

But more than anything else, a massive good luck to you all!

All I can say to you is follow the rules!

It does work, but only if you follow them.

Good luck everyone.

B: babybel and peperami
L: leftover from last nights dinner, lamb meat balls and courgettes which was dripping in fat from the lamb.
D: pork belly with roast Swede (not v much) and loads of kale and even more butter
S: snacking crackling from m&s

Gym session was really hard this afternoon, I feel a bit meh but not full blown carb flu thankfully.

Flibbertyjibbit · 07/02/2017 19:09

Oops ... Not been feeling hungry at breakfast for a few days (this is my 4th week following bootcamp rules) so didn't eat anything. Same at lunch. Will attempt to add in breakfast and a better lunch tomorrow. I'm finding the 4.5L of water fills me up.

I've just picked up a pot of skyr vanilla protein yoghurt at lidl. It is 4.4g carbs per 100g - is that allowed on bootcamp? If I weigh out 50g that would be 2.2g carb for breakfast?

dementedma · 07/02/2017 19:10

Is it normal to have a splitting headache?
Breakfast - hard boiled egg
Lunch - chicken breast and celery stick, bowl of Total yoghurt
Dinner - cauliflower with cream cheese and spinach.
2 litres of water so far. Feel crap.

SummerSazz · 07/02/2017 19:28

Have been low carving for a couple of weeks and doing 16:8 fast which seems to be going well. Hoping Bootcamp will keep me focussed and give me some tips as a first timer.

L - 2 poached eggs, streaky bacon and leaf salad drizzled with olive oil
D - roast chicken leg + wing (with skin), spring cabbage, broccoli and mayo. 2 tablespoons of Organic full fat plain yog for dessert.

Tea is my downfall as I usually have about 10 cups with skimmed milk. I've changed that to full fat and only have a tiny splash anyway. 4 litres water drunk, 10k steps and exercise dvd done.

Now off to check if I made it onto the spreadsheet as I think I may have missed the cutoff.

NapoleonsNose · 07/02/2017 19:44

Am I too late to join? I've been waiting for bootcamp to start as I've been low carbing since the beginning of Jan and then missed the date! I've lost a stone so far but can feel myself getting a little bit side-tracked sometimes so hopefully bootcamp can keep me accountable.

Anyway, today...
B: Bacon and fried egg
L: Smoked salmon, salad with olive oil
D: Homemade smoked mackerel pate with Tom Kerridge recipe low carb bread (not sure if this is allowed on bootcamp?) and celery sticks.

SummerSazz · 07/02/2017 19:47

I think I've added myself to the spreadsheet and hopefully not buggered it up Grin

Napoleon you should be able to add yourself - spreadsheet link on OP.

Almahart · 07/02/2017 19:53

Day two - sausages and eggs for breakfast. Pork stir fry for lunch and home made burgers and salad with mayo for dinner

Was 4ibs lighter this morning than yesterday! That can't be a real loss surely

Imissmy0ldusername · 07/02/2017 19:59

dementedma - the headache might be the sugar leaving your system, or possibly not enough salt? Also, are you eating enough?

feekerry · 07/02/2017 20:00

dementedma 'tis the carb flu Smile drink loads of water and it does pass usually on day 3 or 4 for me when I adjust to no sugar and carbs

DearPrudence · 07/02/2017 20:05

Day 2

B - coffee with cream and a babybel
L - turkey, mayo, lettuce
D - m&s picnic of salmon, olives/cheese as I can't get home until after I pick DS up from drama club at 10pm.

NapoleonsNose · 07/02/2017 20:13

OK, I think I've added myself. Took a bit of working out as on an iPad and had to get the Sheets app.

momofgirls · 07/02/2017 20:31

Checking in during low carbing have you noticed that your hands and feet feel colder? I'm hoping the fat eaten will alleviate this or the weather improves sooner.

Started low carbing again 2 weeks ago so feel Ive got past the flu/ headache (carb flu) symptoms.

Foods today
B Greek yogurt
L scrambled egg with cream & small slices of Wensleydale.
D broccoli & spinach with chicken drizzled with melted butter, garlic & lemon.

bettyblueeyes83 · 07/02/2017 20:33

Oops, missed the beginning of BC! Hello everyone. But have been BCing for the last week and a bit so hoping will be smooth transition to just sidle in... Smile

Starting today on 161.2lbs, down from 166 in Jan but up from 155 end of November.

Food today:

B: scrambled eggs with cheese, avocado, cherry toms, coffee with cream
L: spirulina greens soup (this was horrid! I don't recommend) and cheese
D: chicken garam masala with cauli rice and broccoli

One thing I have been doing is a splash of milk in coffee during the day, but will cut this out now I'm back under the big stick!

mistywillow17 · 07/02/2017 20:37

Oh god - just fought my way to victory in a prolonged bedtime battle with the 18 month old. I'm frazzled and knackered and would normally reach for a glass of wine at this point but I have a bottle of fizzy water instead. I did cave in a bit and had the smoked salmon that I was saving for a treat later in the week, but proud of myself for not succumbing to carbs for comfort. I'll just count the salmon towards my dinner, and have a cup of veggie soup as well later on.

dementedma · 07/02/2017 20:42

Thanks. Hoping it will pass soon.
I found tins of sardines in oil in the cupboard. Are these good when low carbing and what the hell can I make with them other than putting them on toast???

BIWI · 07/02/2017 20:47

Sardines are perfect when you're low carbine. I just wish I liked them

If you've got a headache, it's most likely carb flu. Make sure you're getting plenty of salt - add it to your food/cook with it, and try making a hot drink from Oxo/Bovril or Marmite.

Also, you need potassium and magnesium - so salmon, avocado, full fat natural yoghurt and spinach are all good to include in your diet.

dementedma You do not look to have eaten very much and there is not much fat in what you have eaten. No fat in a boiled egg and very little in a chicken breast. Can you add some mayo to the egg and maybe eat chicken thighs or add some fat to the breast?

SayrraT · 07/02/2017 20:58

My post vanished!

very that all looks lovely.

My food today

B: 3 rashers of streaky bacon, coffee with cream
L: salad (leaves, cucumber, tomatoes) with tuna mayonnaise, FF yog with vanilla paste, mini cheese
S: pork scratchings
D: frankfurter omelette, mascarpone with lime

There was lots of salad etc with the meals but I was feeding baby and I had to be sparse with my post....

Glitterkitten24 · 07/02/2017 21:01

I'm so proud of myself today- we spontaneously packed up the car for a day out with the kids. No low carb food was prepared, so i had to quickly chuck some bits together to take with me- I did not succumb to sandwiches!

B- Greek yoghurt
L- rocket rolled in slices of ham.
S- olives
D- fried salmon fillet, lettuce, cucumber, rocket, wee bit of red onion and beef tomato, feta and a drizzle of olive oil, delicious!

Didn't manage all my water as day out involved lots of driving in remote places without toilet, only 2l. Found I missed it today though and was really thirsty for it when i got home, back on the water tomorrow.

ClopySow · 07/02/2017 21:57

comes crashing in the door a day and a half late

Sorry. What did i miss?

Lets not talk about yesterday. Or this morning. I've been ill and disorganised so lacking in the proper food department but i'm on track now.

Dinner - pork shoulder and small amount of roast leek. Only veg i had in the house. It won't happen again.

I made some of those delish bacon and egg muffins. Can't recommend them enough. Slices of Bacon in muffin tin holes, in oven for five minutes, take out, add chopped veg - i did mushroom and a very small amount of leek for flavour, dod of cream cheese, pour beaten eggs over (can add double cream but i'm trying not to go bonkers with dairy), grated cheese on top, bung in the over at 190 for 15 - 20 minutes. Eat 1 or 2 warm standing at the counter, let the rest cool and stick in a tub in the fridge. Fab breakfast and snack or a couple with a big salad and mayo for lunch.

BIWI · 07/02/2017 22:08

Just a correction - there is fat in a boiled egg (in the hot, specifically), but wombattoo is right - you need a bit more fat than that.

OP posts:
dementedma · 07/02/2017 22:12

Ok will try for more fat. It just seems so wrong!Grin
Tomorrow is going to be a bugger. In a seminar thingy all day. Have to leave early so no time for breakfast first and it will be pastries and fruit when I get there. Lunch will be sandwiches and wraps etc. Can't drink water all day as can't possibly leave the room to pee every 20 minutes..
It's going to be a bust!

BIWI · 07/02/2017 22:35

Can you not prepare some stuff to take with you? A couple of hard boiled eggs, some cheese, some olives - or if you've any tinned tuna, mix up some tuna mayo for yourself.

If you give in and eat the fruit/pastries/sandwiches, you're just giving into the carbs.
