Morning all. Sorry for the later than usual thread, but I'm away at the moment/1

Anyway, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

As we've now completed the first two, more strict, weeks of Bootcamp you have a choice. You can move on to Bootcamp Light, (rules are on the spreadsheet tabs), which essentially means you can add in a few nuts/seeds, and some fruit (berries, and strictly in moderation), and you can have alcohol occasionally.

However, if you haven't really done Bootcamp strictly enough, or you cheated, or just because you think it's going well, you can stay on Bootcamp. (If you do, though, please make sure your carbs are mainly coming from vegetables and salad, to make sure that you're getting a good balance of nutrition)

Alternatively, you can do Bootcamp during the week but Bootcamp Light at the weekend. The choice is yours.

However, there is one thing I have to warn you about. Weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for little or no weight loss. If this happens to you, please don't panic! Just keep on keeping on and things will start to move again.

After initial big losses in the first couple of weeks, you can't feasibly expect to see that continue, and you should that weight loss settles down at around 1-3lbs a week, depending on how much you have to lose.

Good luck all! Flowers

The sausages will probably have been cheap ones, which are pretty high carb :( Ive seen some with as much as 15g per sausage! The greek yog may have been carby if it was a low fat one. The rest sounds fine, so I am sure the damage wont be too huge

I've just added a few recipes to the recipe thread for anyone wanting to try something new.

NotdeadyetBOING · 03/06/2016 14:02

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone for the recipes on that thread.Loads of inspiration.

Mookbark · 03/06/2016 14:15

Just running on to say the McD salad was pretty awful. Saddidn't have the dressing as it was 3g for the small sachet. Will have to make up for it with a delicious, fat laden meal later.

WanHeda · 03/06/2016 14:20

mook the salad is dire, isnt it? Last time I went I just ordered 2 double cheese burgers & removed the bun. Was pretty filling and I felt like I had a proper McDs!

regularbutpanickingabit · 03/06/2016 14:49

Thanks Wan, ugh. Am cross now. Oh well, I have been so good all the way through and I guess I was bound to slip up. Just would have rather used the carbs on something tastier!

nekobus · 03/06/2016 15:09

Thanks for adding the recipes, Wan love having the photos there too!

well i need a drumroll... squeezed myself into a pair of size 14 jeans this morning! They are a little neat lol and from sainsbury's so not exactly H&M skinny but it feels good Grin

tits so sorry about your chicks, that is really horrible - definitely go back to shop

Gcal is your bone broth just ACV - no water? doesn't it taste really vinegary? (havent tried ACV yet)

margarita I discovered chai tea on the last BC - someone was having it with cream and now I do to, really goes with the spicy taste.

B - avocado with dressing
L - one LC sausage and some scrambled egg and a little leftover butter chicken (that curry is a winner) and now totally stuffed
D - not sure as DH is going out tonight before dinner so may just finish off the butter chicken lol

WanHeda · 03/06/2016 15:19

well done on the size 14s nekobus!

SingToMeInFrench · 03/06/2016 15:22

A quick check in- impromptu visit to a theme park today. There are carbs everywhere!

Luckily I had a two egg omlette with ham, mushrooms, cream and cheese for a brekkie which has kept me going. I resisted burger and chips and DH has just found me some pepperami! I know it's processed but is better than the fast food options here.

Whyarethebestnamestaken · 03/06/2016 15:54

I found the coyo yogurt in Waitrose so than you to whoever mentioned that. It is delicious but twice as many calories as Fage full fat. I know I should not bother about that but its hard to get away from that mindset.

Also, I am not a lover of water so wondered if it is true that tea counts as water. I drink it black and probably get through 15 large mugs a day? Can extra water really make a difference to weight loss?

MothershipG · 03/06/2016 15:55

Going out with a friend tonight, probably Carlouccio's , I'm thinking the beef, Gorgonzola and walnut salad looks my best bet. Has anyone had it, is it good?

Menu here

Or if you know Ealing anywhere else you'd recommend? GrinGrin

Are coconut milk/almond milk OK on bc lite? Have really been craving a milkshake (not something I ever drink normally so don't know why) and low carb versions seem to consist of one of those milks, ice, cream and vanilla extract maybe with some berries. Thinking of making one at some point next week.

WanHeda · 03/06/2016 16:05

Mothership - that salad sounds lovely, but I would also be tempted by the grilled lamb & leave the cannelini beans.

Laser, I think unsweetened almond milk is very LC so should be ok on BClite

MothershipG · 03/06/2016 16:17

Laser Alpro unsweetened almond milk is only 0.1g carbs/100ml, I have it warm with double cream and vanilla but I think it would be lovely cold as well. But it won't be thick.

The Alpro coconut is 2.7g/100ml so quite a bit higher.

I have been experimenting with trying to make almond milk yogurt - the results have not been entirely successful!

LaserShark · 03/06/2016 16:26

Yes, I don't suppose I'd get a very milkshake-y texture which is what I'm after. I like almond milk though so might get some anyway - warm with double cream and vanilla sounds lovely!

BursarsFrogs · 03/06/2016 16:36

As to the food costs, we're lucky to have a very well stocked Aldi within walking distance. Fresh meat, veggies and dairy are really the only things I buy from there, but on this WOE that largely covers it! I end up buying a weekly shop for about half the price as I'd get it from Tesco. Just pop elsewhere for things like coffee and the odd bits and bobs. :)

wombattoo · 03/06/2016 17:39

Hello all.
Pleased to see so many doing so well.
I have managed to drop the 2lb that I gained over the bank holiday. Now to keep it off this weekend Grin

LaserShark · 03/06/2016 18:54

The pain au chocolat didn't throw me too badly today, I wasn't hungry or sufferings from cravings after. So, has been:

B - pain au chocolat
L - tuna mayo with a bit of grated cheese and cherry tomatoes (no other veg in house at that point!)
D - bolognese with courgetti and buttered leeks followed by Greek yoghurt with a few raspberries

Lots of water, two creamy coffees and one black coffee.

WanHeda · 03/06/2016 19:00

Had a pork chop for dinner, wasn't sure what to do with it so I topped it with mayo and sprinkled on loads of parmesan and roasted in the oven with some green beans. It was delicious! The mayo/cheese combo kept it lovely & succulent.

Week 3 - Pre-summer Low Carb Bootcamp - the choice is yours!
LaserShark · 03/06/2016 19:09

I have to say, I don't know if it's psychosomatic because of the breakfast slip but I feel enormous today. Probably also a result of being sofa bound.

Your dinner looks lovely Wan!

Veryflummoxed · 03/06/2016 19:59

Weekend again. Sorry to hear about your chicks Titsa that was an awful thing to happen. Hope you continue to recover Laser (and I'm trying hard not to think about your breakfast). Your pork chop looked delicious Wanheda I'm definitely going to try that. Loving all the posts and hearing how everyone is doing. Flowersfor all those who've had upsets this week. My food for today was
B eggs scrambled with cream and butter plus butter fried mushrooms.
L olives and ff total yogurt. (Not together)
D chicken thighs X 2 spinach and mushrooms, lots of butter.

Black tea, mint tea, all my water.

Does herb tea count in the water total anyone know? Days like today when it's warm I find it quite easy to drink my quota, on cold days much harder. I do drink boiled water but it would be nice if the mint tea counted.

lexloofah · 03/06/2016 20:36

somuch same here , only need one cupboard for food in the kitchen now and that includes spices and is mainly DCs snack stuff and a few tins. So glad we are moving soon to a house with a bigger fridge as that is always full to bursting . Plus I don't really do a weekly supermarket shop anymore, perhaps once a month for non perishable boring cleaning type stuff then farm shop and butchers for the rest of the time with perhaps a meat box occasionally, I love the idea of a cheese delivery man

Gcalgske · 03/06/2016 20:38

Sorry neko there is water too. I really need to proof read. I
Use enough water to cover bones plus a tbsp salt and a couple tbsp ACV

BIWI · 03/06/2016 20:43

Mothership I had that salad last night! However it comes with a balsamic dressing, which isn't great. I asked for a wine vinaigrette dressing, and they were quite happy to do that.
