Morning all!

I see we have almost 90 brave souls signed up this time. Welcome everyone, and to the lurkers at the back.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

The list is alphabetised, and all you need to do is to add your weight next to your name. Don't do anything else or touch any of the other cells! If your name isn't on the list for any reason, add it to the bottom of everyone else's names, and the lovely Sayrra will re-alphabetise the list later.

If you don't want to put your actual weight, you can index it - i.e. your starting weight is 100, and every pound you lose is one. So if you started today at 160 lbs, and in the first week lost 7lbs, then next week you'd enter 93.

Also, don't feel that you have to weigh today - you might prefer to make another day of the week your weigh-in day. Up to you - but the spreadsheet is there as a resource to help you track how it's all going.

Re weighing, if you can, weigh first thing in the morning, naked, and before you eat or drink anything else. Don't weigh later on in the day, as all you're doing is weighing yourself plus whatever you've had to eat or drink. And use the same scales. Remember, it's not the actual weight that the scales tell you, more the weight that you've lost that counts.

Some people prefer to weigh every day - I'm one of them, as it helps to keep me focused - and some prefer to weigh once a week. It's up to you which you prefer. Bear in mind, though, that if you weigh every day you are very likely to see the scales fluctuate, which means that they may go up for no apparent reason. This is totally normal, as your weight can fluctuate on a daily basis (especially if your period is due). But psychologically it can be quite difficult - so if you don't think you'd be able to cope with this, then weekly weighing is for you.

I'm going to start a questions thread now as well. In the first few weeks of Bootcamp the chat thread can move very quickly, and it's easy for posts to get missed - so if you have a particular burning question, it's probably best to post it on the dedicated thread. And if we can all keep an eye on the questions thread, rather than just me, we can get everything answered quickly!

3lbs down, hurray!

Dinner last night was a pork chop with cabbage and shallot fried in oil and chilli flakes. I have invented a fast and easy lc sauce - spread ff cream cheese on the cooked chop, then spread a tiny bit of wholegrain mustard on top of that. Yummy!

ami9 · 21/01/2016 09:59

Wooohoooo i woke up this morning after a good 5 hour sleep (my ds is not well for past 3 nights so not sleeping well) today I am feeling great. The headache and the general feeling unwell feeling has gone. I have a weird taste in my mouth. I am not feeling hungry at all however had 1 egg with tea for breakfast. Now if i dont feel hungry do i still need to eat? Yesterday I felt like crap at work and I am so glad i pushed through these initial tough days. Cravings have stopped today. If I can do it anyone can😊 Thank you to all for posting it really helps knowing I am not the only one xx

readyforno2 · 21/01/2016 10:03

Hi BIWI
thanks for remembering me. Well, I was pretty slim. Lost 6.5 st in 2014. Unfortunately stupidly fell back into bad habits so am back up to 12.6. I'm so angry with myself.
You are right. I didn't eat a huge amount yesterday but there was loads of butter in the scrambled eggs and it was a huge bowl of soup, even my manager commented on the size.
I had planned to have yog or something after aerobics but didn't feel like it.

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 21/01/2016 10:07

Well I'm 5lbs down but God knows how as I know I've eaten a lot of cheese! It's prob water weight but seeing the scales going down like that is a boost

Need to plan for work lunches now so binge cooking today, but first, a five mile run as per training plan is required. Not looking forward to this!

B...coffee and cream. Left over beef
L....prob omelette
D.... Attempting cottage pie with greens. Yogurt and cinnamon

Snacks of cucumber and few olives with coffee.

Running on just the beef and last nights dinner ( cheese salad)
Would have had muesli and banana before!! Let's see how far I get

CassandraKumquat · 21/01/2016 10:10

Hi all, finally checking in this week. Enjoying Bootcamp so far, really love this WOE!

My standard menu this week has been:
B: Scrambled eggs with butter, bacon, mushrooms
L: Prawn/Chicken and avocado salad with oily dressing
D: Meat & veg
S: Celery with cream cheese/olives or FF greek yoghurt

Does that sound about right? Still haven't quite accepted that FAT IS GOOD - although I am loving it Grin

I was going to try this recipe tonight: Cauliflower Mac n Cheese - looks delish but is it too much cheese/diary for the first two weeks?
Have a great day everyone

lovelycuppateas · 21/01/2016 10:18

Thanks YesEinstein and Gcalgske - these are great ideas. Maybe I should start cooking more in the microwave anyhow (a blessing in disguise perhaps?). Bootcamp has given me an entirely new appreciation of swede Smile

fohamy12 · 21/01/2016 10:19

Oh dear, suitably chastised, off to naughty stepBlush

Mookbark · 21/01/2016 10:24

Checking in. Had a long day at work yesterday, so didn't manage to. Also made a rookie mistake of not taking enough food to work with me, but managed to avoid buying anything carby. Did have my boeuf bourguignon in the slow cooker to look forward to, which helped.
Yesterday had:
B - coffee with cream, babybel
L - pancetta, leek and mushroom muffins with green salad
B - Yummy beefy goodness with cauli rice
S - spicy chai almond milk latte

Today:
B - coffee with cream x2
L - as yesterday
D - LC sausages with roasted veg and mozzarella melted over the top.
s - ? babybel, spicy latte

I am now 8.8 lbs down on when I started on 04/01/2016, lovey big water-weight whoosh the first week and steady since then. Very, very please Grin

BeyondBootcampsAgain · 21/01/2016 10:32

So, lunch will be giant chicken leg (emu type proportions, it is massive!), half a swede roast in the chicken fat, brocolli and cauli. Might try to concoct some sort of gravy replacement with butter and bovril Grin

ami9 · 21/01/2016 10:37

Just had a great workout followed by a protein shake. My clothes are fitting abit better but I am not weighing myself until I complete the 2 weeks. Cant wait to see how much I lose☺

Gcalgske · 21/01/2016 10:37

Well done all you lucky losers! I'm not jealous at all Envy

I am on low carb basically (except Christmas [santa])for the rest of my life as it's the only thing that sorts my insulin resistance and PCOS so technically weight loss is not my goal (but I have heaps to lose Confused) so any little loss is massive for me. I don't weigh as my loss is so slow and erratic but I could get my very fitted, very expensive north face winter coat zipped up for the first time in ages yesterday...Grin

ICJump · 21/01/2016 10:41

Thanks for the stick :)
Onwards with rule following and downwards with weight

BeyondBootcampsAgain · 21/01/2016 10:47

Gcal, me too (but ibs crap) but if you look at my graph you'll see why i've lost this week Grin
I properly fucked my digestive system up at christmas :(

DartmoorDoughnut · 21/01/2016 11:11

Jumped on the scales this morning and have only lost a pound so far, stupid cheat on Monday!

sos1993 · 21/01/2016 11:32

My plan today: breakfast fried eggs butter and sautéed mushrooms
Lunch: cold roast chicken, half bag salad leaves with a quick dressing of tbsp red vinegar and tbsp oil poured into bag. Cucumber. Dinner: pork chops, mashed cauliflower with butter, creamed spinach. Snacks: boiled eggs, celery and cream cheese. Bovril

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 21/01/2016 12:20

B: Greek yog
L: Chicken Caesar salad (home-made dressing - mayo, capers, anchovies whizzed up together)
D: Pork chops again, with either leeks or cabbage, probably.

S: Coffee with double cream, mmm.

I eat a lot of dairy Blush but generally seem to get away with it. Trying to come up with lunches that are dairy-free, because my standard work lunches are Greek salad or mozzarella & tomato salad. I'm thinking ham and egg salad, smoked salmon and avocado salad and tuna mayo or prawn cocktail for next week. A lot of my dinners seem to include either cream, cheese, cream cheese or a combination of all three, and that's before you count the yoghurt for breakfast! I do have eggs for breakfast at weekends, though.

VikingLady · 21/01/2016 12:50

I'm also on an iPhone, so can someone please be really kind and add me to the spreadsheet? I'm weighing in at 182lb.

At least I have a lot of opportunity for being happy with so many weeks of weight loss!

BIWI · 21/01/2016 13:18

Done, VikingLady!

Mookbark · 21/01/2016 13:28

Beyond I love your graph, I think it looks like the rolling south downs. Mine looks more like Ben Nevis Grin

DartmoorDoughnut · 21/01/2016 13:39

I've just had an entire tin of tuna mayo for lunch Blush I was bloody starving!

BIWI · 21/01/2016 13:48

Nothing wrong with that Dartmoor. I trust it was in oil, and that you added some mayo?

If you're hungry then eat! This isn't a WOE about deprivation. As long as you're eating high fat/low carb, then it's fine.

recyclingbag · 21/01/2016 14:24

Can I join please?

I've reached a new low. I've just seen some professional photos of me and I look like a really overweight person.

Not because they are unflattering or bad photos but because that is how I look. My face looks so puffy and it has come as quite a shock.

I am 14st 4lb and would like to be down to 11st.

Is it OK to join even though we've already started?

Gcalgske · 21/01/2016 14:41

B: creamy coffee, supplements, water
L: roast shallots, pork belly
D: chicken kebabs (mushroom, green pepper, cherry toms, garlic, olive oil, smoked paprika) mixed lettuce/cucumber with oily dressing

ChesterDrawers · 21/01/2016 14:42

Who the hell ever thought to put Banybels in the microwave? What sorcery is this? I'm already three down and seriously considering a forth - amazing!

ChesterDrawers · 21/01/2016 14:42
