Can someone take a look and see if this looks OK?

Hi,
I have been eating kind of low carb for a while, but am now trying LCHF to see how I get on.
I am not overweight I know that, but I am pear shaped and my rear end is getting me down and I have cellulite and I would prefer to feel like I am feeding my body in the right way.

Yesterday
Omlette with spinach and chesse (fried on Butter)
Salad with gen lettuce and a few tomatoes and tuna with mayo. Olives.
Chicken cirry. Fried on coconut oil. chicken, coconut milk, oniions, carrots, aubergine, a little bit of squash
Full fat Lidl yoghurt with a but of vanilla essence and flaked almonds

Today
scrambled eggs with smoked salmon
Big salad - brocolli, spinach and garlic fried in coconut oil, dark green salad leaves, feta cheese, 1/2 avocado, olive oil and a few seeds.
Black farmer sausages, leek and cauliflower gratin made with double cream and cheese

I feel a bit rough. My throat feels scratchy and like I have heart burn. I am very thirsty and my stomach feels like it needs something proper to digest. I don't want to get it wrong as with all the fat I will just get bigger!

Is this worth doing when basically you are slim, but want to be healthy and lose a few pounds of fat from bum?

Thanks

Looks fine apart from carrots, but if you aren't wanting to loose weight, carrots will be ok probs. have you checked the spread sheets? They have all the carb counters on.

trashcanjunkie · 09/04/2015 19:10

Possibly a bit dairy heavy....

trashcanjunkie · 09/04/2015 19:16

Sore throat will be just that I reckon. I get heart burn if I drink too much coffee with cream, so could be from the dairy, and have you been adding enough salt to your food, and drinking enough water?

Can you do soup for lunch instead of salad? It will fill you up more, and you can add fat very easily, animal fat, which means slightly less dairy, but still plenty of fat. I skim read your foods, and on re reading would say, definitely too much dairy, not enough other fats. (Although I'm basing this on what would work for me, you may tolerate it well. The only way to see is to weigh and measure yourself)

I would also not be able to get away with that many veg.

If it helps, my food today and yesterday are logged on the in between bc thread. You're very welcome to join us on there, but be warned, you must read the rules and the carb count or you'll get short shrift from me Grin

Thanks for the tips. I have also probably had too much dairy today too. But do feel better and a bit fuller.

I will have a look at your thread and read the rules and the carbs!

Yeay excellent!

Looks good. Dairy is never for me but that's just personal.
It sounds like you want to lose a bit of weight but not a vast amount to lose.

May be avoid mayo as it tends to be processed.

BIWI · 16/04/2015 09:16

Don't avoid mayo if you're also cutting out dairy! It's a processed food, but not too bad. (But check the ingredients of your brand - as well as the carb count, because they do vary hugely)
