I really need someone to motivate me.

I'm 5ft 6 and on the electronic scales in Boots this lunchtime I was 12stone 10 lb. This is pretty much the heaviest I have been.

I did the Dukan diete a few years ago and it really worked for me and I know Lo Carb (or no carb) is a good way for me to lose weight. It worked before adn i know it will work again.

HOwever, I am finding it so hard to do this time. I've been going to try again for ages, or I do a day and then crack.

I work full time in a really busy job and my home life is hectic with a three year old. I have little time to shop, cook and prepare food and often end up grabbing a sandwich or something because it is quick ore ating whatever DS leaves.

I am miserable about my weight. I know what I need to do but I am finding it hard. I'm skint this month so I can't do a big shop for low carb stuff and I am so short of time to prep and shop.

I would like to be 10 stone 7 or at least under 11 stone. i need fast results to motivate me and my bathroom scales are crap and vary by up to a stone depending how I stand on them. I think what worked so well was last time I did this I could see the weight coming off on my reliable scales. I will buy some new ones hen I get paid and use the Boots ones in the shop on my lunch break till then. but I am finding it hard ot be motivated.

Could anyone help SOmeone to motivate me would be great as would recipies for quic kand easy meals. I am not a big meat fan which makes it harder.

Thank you for reading.

My £5 Sports Direct scales are very accurate.

Do you like eggs? Tuna? Other fish? Veg?

catgirl1976 · 20/03/2015 13:54

I like eggs and shellfish and love veg. Not a big tuna fan

I will look at the Sports Direct scales - thank you :)

Have you got a microwave? My 'can't be bothered' lunch is two eggs with a dab of butter whisked together and cooked for about 90 seconds. I chuck in spring onions and a bit of cheese. It's surprisingly filling.

Ooh that sounds nice

I'm going to start tomorrow so I will give that a try

Good luck Catgirl - I'm very similar stats to you, same height and 12st 5lbs, so if you want a diet buddy we can help each other? I struggle to low carb but am going to attempt some sort of clean eating as I normally eat a huge amount of pasta, potatoes, white rice, and I'm certain this is stopping me losing weight!

I'm attempting Blogilates workouts each day too as I don't really do any exercise at the moment.

Hey Rockchick = good luck to you too - having a diet buddy would be great :) Let's do it!

Right - I've started. Had some lean grilled bacon and some low fat cheese for breakfast.

If I am still hungry in a bit I will have some scrambled eggs.

catgirl - have only just seen this.

One really important thing though. If you're doing low carb (and it's not 'no' carb, as you'll be getting carbs from veg/salad), you should be eating high fat foods. So don't grill your bacon, but fry it. And don't eat low fat anything!

catgirl1976 · 28/03/2015 09:27

Thanks BIWI

I've just had some fried Haloumi cheese for breakfast, so that should be nice and high in fat :)

I've done well this week but I crumbled last night and had a slice of pizza :(

Still, I feel better and have lost 3lb. I was hoping for a bit more but I know that's good for a week and I feel thinner. I'll keep going!
