Low Carb for someone who prefers to eat Vegetarian

Hi all, I'm just wondering about eating mostly vegetarian on BC. I really don't like to eat a lot of meat and am struggling a little to eat this much, not least as its very expensive.

So I guess my question is are things like Tofu, Quorn, TVP okay to substitute for meat? And what about soya milk or soya yoghurt?

Also, as I was reading Atkins just before I started this I have been following the strict phase for the last two weeks and only having 20g carb from veg off of the recommended list but I feel like I need/want more.

Perhaps I'm asking a silly question but I feel a little like I'm getting something wrong. This WOE makes sense but I just need to adapt it for vegetarian as bit more.

How much carbs via veg on BC should I be aiming for a day?

And please, does anyone else have any breakfast suggestions other than eggs?? I love eggs but they are beginning to make me feel a little sickly.

Any help appreciated as I can feel myself veering of course in terms of momentum.

TIA

Hi sam there is a veggie BC thread here which might help.

On BC we don't have a daily limit for carbs as everyone is different. Just try to stick to 3g carbs per 100g or less for your vegetables.

Here is a list I started (not had time to complete it) with suggestions for different meals. You can have anything you want for breakfast, sometimes I have the previous nights leftovers.

Thanks for the reply Sayra T. I found a Ketoshake in my local health food shop, which i'm thinking might help on the breakfast front. Not sure if others have come across this?
