Hi

Ive joined up to Plenty of Fish a few days ago, been separated 18 months now and ready to give it a go!

Tell me. . .if the guys looks like a catalogue model. . .its probably fake right? Some mails have come in today and the pics are just too good to be true! So am I being cynical or wise to beware/

Any advice or experiences from this site would be appreciated!

Hi, this is slightly wierd because I was just about to post to ask about how to go about dating again. Any tips on what the best internet dating sites are or even how you go about it? Last time I was out on the pull, it involved standing by the student union bar singing along to The Cure .

Just a thought, anyone found their ex on a dating website yet? That would be scary!

POF is a huge site but shark infested waters.

There are a lot of players on there and because of its size, I found it a bit impersonal. The only way to succeed for a man seemed to be to play the numbers game. For a woman they tend to be inundated with messages and only would spend about 1 sec on each message before the delete button. Long term I made a few friends from there but nothing else.

That said, POF is a good place to cut your teeth and learn to sift out the bullshitters, players and clueless.

I found specialist dating sites like parentsalready and datingforparents better. As was match.com

I don't like mumsdatedads and singlewithkids as they use other sites to bump their membership up so you end up with lots of people who don't even have kids in the search.

Hope that helps

I had wondered why there were so many men on there with no children...thanks for clearing that up!
