Will my housing benefit be stopped if landlord doesnt give a rent statement?

I work but still get housing benefit. My review is happening, and they have said they need proof of my rent liability, BUT NOT TENANCY Agreement!

They have all my bank statments proving I pay all of my rent, but I do not have a rent statment. My lanlord is a tosser reluctant to do anything, eg when my elderly neighbour had pnuemonia in the middle of winter it took him weeks to get his heating fixed.

So he will never get round to doing a rent statement or letter. I never see him either, a year ago was the last time I saw him and then he turned up with no notice.

So will they stop my housing benefit if I dont give them what they want? They wont accept a tenancy agreement when it is a review.

I have just been crying my eyes out over this. As I work hard, teenagers and study.
To lose out on money due to a stupid rule seems unfair as it's not my fault the landlord is a tosser laid back

Just tell them that the bank statements show proof of the rent going out of your account, then get a letter from the bank showing that the money goes from your account to his. Tell them he's an arse and does nothing to help his tenants, they can't penalise you for this.
