If you stopped contact between children and father, and he went through courts for access, how long did it take?

Thats all really, just wondering how long it can take? As my exp has not seen dd from July last year and I started to let him see er in April (even tho we are still going to court). But it has still not all been resovled. Just wondering how long it takes everyone else?

How long is a piece of string really. Can take months to years. Depends on the facts of the case really, how hard you are both willing to fight and how obstinate you are going to be.

2 years for me........ Judge got fed up with him nit turning up and obstructing the case by getting put in prison. So I got a section 9(14). He can't re apply for 5 years without leave of court

Far too long, I'd say. Although IME the early stages seem to take forever, as if they are giving you as much time as possible to sort it out between you - but then it seems to get to a point where they work out what is really going on and things can happen quite quickly after that.

Thank you for the replies...

As I say dd is now seeing her dad as we have arranged it, but the courts have still not sorted anything out so if we had not come to an arrangement it would still not be sorted yet.

I would never have thought it could take a year or longer. I have heard of cases that are dealt with in a few months, but I do not know the inns and outs of those cases...
