Hi Everyone.

I am a single parent, living in the family home still and I have decided I am going to move out into rented.

I saw a place yesterday, quite nice little 2 bed house. Didnt have double glazing and had storage heaters, he said it was dirt cheap to run?! There are several people interested I think so I feel under pressure to make a decision. Tonight I am speaking to ex to tell him this is what I have decided to do.

Can anyone give me a rough idea of how much bills will be.

I also phoned a couple of estate agents and one asked if I worked, which I dont, if I would be claiming housing benefit and then if I had a garentour which I dont so she said she couldnt help me. I think I will have to ask ex to be my guarentor.

Many thanks

Storage heaters are crap. My first house had them, never again. They cost a fortune to run and release all the heat in the day leaving you cold at night. Avoid!

no no no
don't be pressured
storage heaters are crap! even with double glazing
he told you several people interested, my eye they are ...
take your time and if anyone tries to pressure you it may well be they are desperate
you are not!
good luck
look at a few more and don't rush into anything you are not sure of - it's your home

Yeah, avoid storage heaters like the plague. I've got them and have been running them during the day for 6 months and sometimes even then too cold.
