Wrt mechanic he fully admits he was really nervous on the first date esp waiting for me to arrive, and despite his protestations it was me who kissed him first lol. He said he drove home with the biggest smile ever on his face.
He knows I just want the bedroom painted white so will do that. He plans to do the whole place but is starting there . He turned up with a football for ds1 yesterday. Ds2 now spends all evening hugging him and asking him to propose to me lol

Hi everyone, well I thought my second date on Monday went well with the younger man.

However, he hasn't texted since Tuesday morning, so I sent him a text saying I hoped he was having agood week, and nothing back

So I think I put him off. I did ask him what he was looking for in a relationship as I don't think I want to get married again or have any more children, he said something about not ever wanting to be a daddy to my kids (not that I'd want that).

I guess I thought I'd be upfront and see if he was made of stronger stuff which tbh someone is going to need to be with my 2 boys.

So, there's a chap at work who really likes me, he ticks all the boxes, kind, considerate, has 2 kids so knows what he's in for, he's really lovely. BUT

I don't fancy him

One I saw this morning had me shaking my head in disbelief. They (the ones in my age group, mid 40s) should have to be psychiatricaly accessed before they are allowed to join.

Some of them a just a bloody insult and, I'm not joking here but it really worries me that some of them are roaming our streets.

Well I'm all set for speed dating tommorow night, will be a bit nervous but hoping it will be a good laugh. One of my friends has pulled out so it's just 2 of us going now. If it turns out to be rubbish we'll be in manc so lots of places to go!

Hi all, have had a very busy couple of days so not been on but thanks DontTouch for your reply. I'm getting pretty confused now as on Wednesday night he text me saying "hang on in there because it's all work at the moment" and then he text me asking if he could ring so we spoke for a bit which was lovely and we tentatively arranged to meet on Monday.

Then yesterday he text me in the morning and that was it for the whole day. I then get a text this morning "good morning gorgeous hope you have a good day" etc etc.

I'm bloody confused tbh. Beginning to feel a bit crap about it all as I really like him but these mixed messages are doing my head in. Maybe he's just after sex after all - he seemed so genuine.

I'm going to take your advice and do some soh for now as the ups and downs are not doing me any good.
