Today my DD (2.5) gave me a Valentine's card she had made with her childminder. She said, 'This is from me to you Mummy and I love you best in the whole world.' Better than champagne and roses or any other half-hearted Valentine's day cliche that I definitely won't be missing tomorrow. I will give my DD her card in which I've written 'you are my love, my life, my heart, my soul' which I hope she will keep at least until she is able to understand its meaning, and I will be very grateful when her daddy picks her up tomorrow for the day, that I don't have to spend the day with him, and I can get on with some work.
