I need some help wording an email to ds' dad who he's never met.

I started a thread yesterday about ds' absent father. After reading the responses, I decided to do a search on the internet and I think I might have found him. I have the option to send a message but have no idea what to say. It might, afterall, not be him but if it is, this might be my only way of getting in contact so would need it to get his attention.

Can anyone help me please?

gosh, I don't know

must be a way of establishing who he is first? could you just send a preliminary 'hello, are you who I think you are?' message?

I've done it. I'd have chickened out if I left it any longer! Just asked him to email me and gave my hotmail address. Now, how do I stop myself checking my inbox every 2 minutes?!!

You have to make yourself do some houseworky task every time you check it.

Will he know who you are from the message and / or the hotmail address? Haven't read your other thread, sorry.

I haven't had any contact with him for nearly 8 years so there's probably a good chance that he won't know who the email is from. He knew I was pg but I don't know whether that will have been on his mind over the last few years or whether he erased it and hasn't thought about his child since. My name is not very common and we did know eachother for a couple of years so he might have an idea who it is!

My house is going to be spotless at this rate!! I needed have joined the GH thread, this will be far more effective!!
