i have been split from my ex for 4 years now & for the first time in 4 years he got me a xmas pressie from the little one, & he stayed untill 11pm to kep me company was it a case the girlfriend was away.

Are you asking or telling us that his girlfriend was away?

If the former, I hate to say it, but my (admittedly cynical) feeling would be 'yes - he stayed because his gf is away and would probably not have been averse to playing away' but I could and often have been wrong.

well its funny how he asked to stay over but he was drunk when he asked me then the next minute he wanted to go home - i think
yes _ i think you are right the girlfriend was away & he was lonely.
