DC's gone to their dad for Christmas

Back on 26th Dec - some parts of this single parenting lark are bloody shitty.

I feel for you. Must be very difficult.

My DS's aren't going to their Dad until boxing day PM. Luckily for me he doesn't seem to have any interest in doing Christmas eve/day.

Hope you have nice things planned to take your mind off it. Are you having a 2nd Christmas day when they come home?

they are back around 10am on boxing day (traffic permitting as they are all going down to the ex-inlaws. When they get back we are going straight over to my parents and doing present opening and having christmas day then.

I'm working this week until mid-day christmas eve, and am going out for a meal with friends on Mon and Tue.

Mum asked if I was going to stay with them on christmas eve night, which is lovely - but I probably just want to be in my own home.

My DS is here but going down to Wales at Christmas with his Dad.

I'm going to miss him a lot - really feel for you.

I have been fine all week, been at work and out for a couple of lunches so have done longer days to make up the time (normally work 9am-2pm with no lunch break), seen friends every evening.

Not so good today, spoke to the boys this morning, they were at ex's gf's house and going onto ex-inlaws, very excited (which of course they should be - but it hurts not being part of it). So that made me cry (at wor - great).

Finished at 12 and came home and wrapped all presents and now off over to my parents, will stay the night there and maybe tomorrow night aswell and get ex to drop the boys back there.

Hope everyone has a lovely break.
