Online dating site - given out mobile number after 1st message?

I've messaged a nice looking bloke on a dating site - works for the Police. He's replied with his mobile number.

is it me or it that a bit quick and forward?

Too quick. Don't call him.

Just continue to message him online.

was his number in the first message.

or his second with an explanation of why he would rather you have his number than email?

I messaged him once, he replied with his number in.

did he give a reason why?or just his number

My friend met a policeman on a dating site and he was a bit desperate like that.

He turned a bit bunny boiler after about 2 dates.

I'd beware. There are dating scammers out there and you don't know at first, but one thing they do is try to communicate with you away from the site as soon as possible because all communication on the site is recorded! I have just reported a guy to the police for trying to dupe me out of money - I am about to post something on that shortly (I'll call it something like "Online Dating Scams - beware")

He may of course just be a little naive but one wouldn't expect a policeman to be naive, would one?!

Ignore! Unless he gave you a reason why he wouldn't have internet access etc. He is either needy and desperate or wants phone sex.
