Has anyone else been? I'm going on Wednesday for a group that sounds really good, but I was hoping there would be a social aspect to it - but no evenings or weekends!

Is anyone else feeling, like me, that there is a need for more social life for single parents?

Never heard of it, what does it mean?

How did the singlewithkids lunch go?

Oh, it's Single Parents Action Network, but they do a lot of daytime courses, basically, so I've left it a bit late.

Mainly 'cos they mostly teach knitting and stuff like that. No, really!!

I didn't manage to meet the Single With Kids lot. I went there, and walked around the place veeerry sloowly with the baby, looking for them, but somehow didn't manage to meet them. Assumed it had fallen through, but apparently they were there.

Ah well. Next time...

Some years ago, when I was a lone parent, I came to them with the idea of an arts group, we were given support, a crèches, and a room to have meeting in.
They really are very very good people.
Lifesavers in fact.

I'm trying to get help getting a room for weekends, now.

Makkapakkamoo - do you want to hook up with Gingerbread in Bristol? We do go and do weekend stuff, and there is even a facebook group!! I'm going to try and pm you, if you're settings don't allow it can you change them, or pm me your email address?
