do cafcass work weekends

DD (4 years old) returned from a contact visit with XP yesterday and said another man was there with them. She told me he played alone with her (XP was in another room) and asked her lots of questions. Cafcass have been ordered to complete a Section 7 report for our next court date. The thing is, I haven't had any contact from Cafcass and haven't been allocated a worker yet! I am now worried about who XP is leaving DD with. Do Cafcass work on a Saturday.

Yes they do. Dh saw his Cafcass workers on Sundays.

Depends on the CO, I think, but some definitely do work w/ends. Seems very odd they wouldn't have made contact with you before talking to your DD.

I think I'd call the contact centre and ask. She's only 4, she's not going to know who people are - it's probably another bloke waiting for his kid, just being friendly. To a 4 year old 'lots' can be anything from 2 to 20. Could also have been one of the Contact Centre staff watching her while your XP went to the loo!
