Ds birthday today and he's not here, first time [sad]

My ds is 13 today and it's the first time he hasn't woken up in my house and I haven't been able to spoil him and make a birthday fuss.
Ex doesn't have any sense of occasion at all and I feel sorry for him waking up there and maybe a little sorry for myself really becasue I like to do the birthday thing.
Am hoping his sis will do her bit and I'm sure she will, but this is wierd for me.
I will see him later but it's not the same is it.

Anyone else feel wierd about this or am I the only one?
