i have written a letter to dds grandparents. this is the one and only letter i will ever write them. it is polite (prob too much from the heart for my liking) and basically asks if they want to see her. ive written them countless letters only to rip them up again over the last year 1/2 but now im sure i can handle the rejection and i have nothing to lose as ive accepted that the b'std does not ever want to meet his daughter. its going to keep my consience clear though and im putting a copy of it into a box of stuff for when shes older. if they dont reply thats ok because its closure. also will stop me from thinking that maybe they wanted to get in touch but never knew how.

there, just needed to get that out!!

Well done you. It must take some courage to reach out to the parents of someone who has treated you so badly. Your dd is a lucky girl.

Have you considered doing it like an RSVP so they have to get back to you either way?

Well done. Have you made it clear in the letter that you will not be writing to them again? (Just so there can be no confusion?)
