Dd2 had athletics after school today. Had a letter home about it a while ago and mentioned it xp then as he collects them from school and they go for tea at hs on a wednesday.
Admittadly, I hadn't mentioned it since then, but this morning I rang him to remind him about it and tell him what time she needed collecting etc. Not once did he say it was a problem, other than saying he'd have to rush their tea to then have them back here for 6.
I said not too worry about it, come back when they were ready.
So, he has just dropped them off and I could tell as son as he spoke to me that he was being arsey. I then asked the dc if they had told their dad about the Valentines disco tommorow. They said no, and he went off on one saying oh i supose i am expected to drop everything for that too.
I said forget it, I will take them and he starting ranting about me never asking if he has plans.
He then came out with such a load of bollocks that I was gobsmacked. He said he had given up his night class on a monday to take them swimming and then i went and took them myself.
The background to that is that dd2 and Ds had swimming lessons on a Sunday morning but it wasn't really the best time for us so Dd2 decided to give up Brownies so that we could switch swiming lessons to Monday nights.
Never once did I mention or suggest to Xp that he take them as I never expected him to.
He has just insisted that I told him I'd need him to take them and so has given up his class.
He is delusional because I never said any such thing.
Oh and the reason I do ask him to drop the dc to some things is because he drives, and I don't, and the events are normally about 5 min away if that.
Oh and as for me not asking him if he has plans, he doesn't work so has plenty of time to do whatever else he pleases then.
