How long did the divorce take once you had your affidavit sworn & sent off?

Had mine sworn today & have just handed it into the solicitors, but forgot to ask how long it should roughly take from this point.

My ex hasn't ever got a solicitor - he has left the whole thing to me! We sorted out our finances a couple of years back through mediation, so this is just closure on our marriage.

XH appears to be representing himself but he must have got legal advice at some point because he seems to know all the sneaky tactics! I really thought he was going to be decent about this but obviously not. I think I'm going to have a massive celebration when its finally over!

Holly its his one last attempt at control
but you are aware of this
and you are getting back into the swing of enjoying life again
the best two fingered response you can give to him is to not react to him as this will really piss him off
and did i say get out there and start enjoying life again girl?

you sound as if you're well on the way there to living life on your own terms
but yes there'll be vino a plenty when we catch up!
