I am considering becoming a registered childminder and was wondering if any other lone parents on here are.

How does it work out wrt benefits, especially housing benefit ? I am thinking it might be quite hard to sort out as you'd not always have a regular income coming in.

i don't know tbh, have also been thinking about it esp for when dd goes to school.

I did read somewhere that when doing childminding that only a third of your wages are counted toward housing benefit, so a good way to earn some extra money without to much impact. I'm not sure how true this is so worth looking into

Yes i think I read that somewhere aswell oldraver, but can't remember where now.
