We sometimes resort to cereal for dinner if I can't be bothered to cook.

MrsGrahamBell · 06/02/2009 17:59

Good for you - why not????

MrsMattie · 06/02/2009 18:03

Oh, I used to often give my DS weetabix & banana for dinner!

onlywantsone · 06/02/2009 18:20

because I cooked a chilli for dinner, DD won't eat it - and just threw a paddy, so I gave her wheatabix

I heard my HV telling a Mum who was worried her dc didnt eat all dinner and then was hungry to give cereal later or as a substitute

Weetabix, banana and yoghurt is very healthy

only - well done for accepting the Chilli wasn't going to happen and giving her something else rather than nothing at all. I think sometimes we Mums & Dads spend too much time trying to get our lo to eat what we've decided they should have and forget that kids appetites and likes vary. If I really can't be bothered, I'll have porridge for my dinner.

my dd used to have porridge a lot for her dinner, its healthier than chips! i wish my dd would eat banana and weetabix though!

I frequently have to give DS2 weetabix with banana for dinner, when he refuses to eat my delicious homemade offerings . It is healthy and nutritious, and I can almost guarantee that he will eat every last mouthful of it - what is there to feel bad about?
