Popped into hers after I dropped the kids at xp's, had a row with him aswell.

Anyway, had a few drinks at my mums and then she said she'd cook us some tea, so had a lovely dinner and then half hour later i left.

Am so bored now

What do you normally do when you don't have kids?

IllegallyBrunette · 02/01/2009 19:07

Ahh that is easy, nothing.

I think being a single mum is really hard because kids do tend to take up your life.
What did you argue with xp about?

moondog · 02/01/2009 19:12

How are you feeling about the new job next week?

IllegallyBrunette · 02/01/2009 19:12

Oh when i walked in he said he had a favour to ask, which was, could he not have the kids next Friday, because he was going to the footie at 10 on Sat morning.

Problem is, I have a driving lesson at 12 everySat, plus I start a new job on Monday so at the moment I am all over the place with days I am working or not etc and he'd brought the ticket without checking.

I asked my mum if she can have themn Sat morning but she is working an early shift, so all I can do now is see if I can change my lesson to 2pm, but have told him that if i can't it is tough as I am not missing my lesson.

Fair enough. Don't let them wear you down .
What is your new job? That's exciting will give you something else and hopefully new friends outside of the children.

Maternity care assistant, will get to munch newborn babies all day

My mum does the same job so she's been filling me in on lots of bits of info tonight.

I am looking forward to it, but just worried I will muck it up or not be liked, or both.

Need to go now. Going to have a nice lazy bath with a magazine then early to bed for some peace and quite with a book and some magazines.. TBH I think sometimes it feels like it's only you alone but in reality some people live in busy houses but can still feel the way you do and more often many people once the children are asleep are feeling just like you. I don't know why I am saying this to you other than to say your not alone.
I hope you feel better.

IllegallyBrunette · 02/01/2009 19:23

Thanks, enjoy your bath

ooh.. Just saw your message - that sounds good! There is no reason why you wont be liked. You are going to make lots of new friends and develop a social life for when you don't have your dc's! Well done you!

leoleosuperstar · 02/01/2009 19:25

Make sure you look after yourself while your doing your new job and looking after the dc's as well because your going to be tired.

You are going to be great!
