My house is for sale as own it with ex h (not baby's father) and has been forever...due to current climate....but when my baby is here if I move out to rented and rent my own house out am I entitled to any help with housing? Don't want to take anything not entitled to but by renting out my house it will (just) cover costs so I will need to find my own rent....can anyone help?! x

Your rent from your house would be classed as income I think. So, I suppose it depends how much rent you get.

Can you contact Citizens Advice or something?

go to job centre plus they'll help. Or contact your local housing office.

tess you wont receive benefit for housing if you own your own property, you will be expected to use the proceeds of that sale to house yourself, you might be better of waiting to you have sold up before moving into rented accommodation, you will be entitled to help with your rent when your capital falls within a certain limit, have a look at
