...when you are ill.

I feel like I can't cope with dd , need exP back and just don't know how it's going to get better . Have some sort of really vile tummy bug - thank goodness dd doesn't have it yet.

I just. can't. do. it. and I feel really low and rubbish.

It must be hard doing it all yourself,especially when poorly.I was a sp temporarily for a few months when dp very ill in hospital and it was hard having no one to help out.Being ill is the pits.Get well soon xxx

I'm not a lone parent, as I'm still with the father of my baby, but he's away 5 days a week and find myself in the same position.

We live here to be near his daughters so I don't have any family close.

It bloody sucks when you feel terrible but still know you have to cope.

You can do it though, and you will. If it's any consolation, DH has been sucha nightmare this weekend (and helped with NOTHING) that sometimes, I look forward to him going away!)

It is absolutely hideous doing it all by yourself sometimes. Have you got anyone who could take dd off for a morning to give yourself a break?

I work full time - so as long as I can stagger her to nursery, if I am still vomiting this much I will crawl back home again.

It was no better with exP, that's true... just when you are tired and dehydrated you kind of convince yourself that it might have been....

I've got flu at the moment and this weekend has been particularly tough on my own with the dc, I've spent most of it shivering under a blanket on the sofa and we've got through an awful lot of films. I've managed to feed them and supervise ds's homework but that's about it. Feel really shitty that they've had a rubbish weekend but they've been lovely and understanding and keep giving me cuddles much sympathy, it's horrid. Hope you're better soon.

I know, this whole illness thing really scares me....I suffer from very severe migraines (the kind which leave you literally unable to see, speak or move)...throughout most of my pregnancy it seemed like the hormones had got rid of them, but now they're back with a vengeance (especialy if I don't get a good nights kip which obv can't expect with a newborn) & it's really made me realise: what do I DO with the baby if that happens, & no partner to help out???? Gah!

Am feeling much better today. Thank you all. Feeling a bit more confident and not like I can't do it all.
A lot of the panic with vomiting has to do with the severe hyperemesis I had.

mybumpsaboy - try, however you can, to build up some kind of support network. It's hard, but it makes a difference. Because when I'm well, having someone else's child is no trouble, so finding a freindship where you can ask for help is so important.

I really lost it this weekend though. Coping today, went to work and everything. Be in bed soon, but it's worth it if it keeps me coping, right?
