Do you buy birthday cards/presents for your ex?

Bit of a daft question really, all my friends have said "not on your nelly"

But its his 40th and I feel a bit guilty as he bought me a really nice present, and I am fairly certain that his birthday isn't going to be great as his family are a bit staid.

Am I mad for even thinking it?

I buy ex H presents from the children, and a card from both children & myself. He does the same for me.

I am relying on MIL sorting thr kids presents out for exH, as for from me i won't be bothering.

Last year he was at mine for christmas day, he gave me a bag of chocs and a card with a kisses in the shape of a heart, which i was a bit , apparently it was just habit. can;t remember if i got him anything, poss a box of celebrations, but presents from kids.

I have my ex round for tea, buy him xmas and birthday presents
We were together for 22yrs and are still very close (but not in 'that' way), I love him dearly.
Thing is though, I certainly would not be like that with all my ex's!

In other words, only you know if you should buy him a prezzie, or just spit on him, iyswim.

Well, it depends, is he a good father, pays maintenance, treats you with respect etc...

My x wouldn't give us the steam off his p1ss, so that's precisely what he'll be getting for christmas and his 40th, his next birthday in fact.
