WWYD, exMIL and address

Ex Mill text me on monday asking for my address so she could send ds's birthday card. Envelope arrived today from her with 4 cards in, 1 from her, 1 from ds' dad 1 i think is from his auntie and another which had my full address as id given to EXMIL. Went into the hallway and found another birthday card from someone in EXMIL's family.
Im fuming that she has given my address but not sure whether to say something to her or not WWYD?

Was there any reason for her to think you would not want this person to have your address? If you didn't say not to when you gave her your address, how was she to know?

She's given it to two people that i know of neither of them are close to ds. One has seen him twice at most and the other really disapproves of me and has caused me a lot of hassle. She is close to her sister so i would have thought EXMIL would have been aware of that. To me its polite to ask if its ok. Especially as she asked for her use

I agree with you, I will not give an address, email or phone number without permission, even when I know it will be ok. However, I know from the looks I get sometimes that this is not usual anymore sadly.

tigerlili youve just decribed my exMIL sure she thinks she is ds's mum had to blantently tell her she werent. MY NAME is on his birth certificate not yours kind of thing.
It didnt occur to me to have said i wanted it limited. I always do that aswell NC.
Gets better her and EXP are now coming tomorrow morning for 2 hours.. 2more than i can handle lol
