I've been single for over 2 years now, tried internet dating, wasn't sure I was ready for it, even recently, and all the blokes on it (more than one site) were all wrong so I've kind of given up on that.. the thing is I'm still getting hassle from ex, saying he still loves me etc. and he wants loads more contact with 2 yo DD when I'm still worried about him drinking around her- I just can't see an end to his pestering, and much as I'd love to start seeing other people, I'm liable to burden them with this ongoing problem. Can I do this or should I hold out to see if ex does cool it?

Make sure your x has the message first and foremost!

Ignore your ex. Don't put your life on hold dependent on his behaviour.

If you meet someone you like, go out with him. If you don't, don't. But let it be your decision, because you want to, and your ex and what he wants/ thinks is utterly irrelevant.

Oh and tell him no one who loves booze more than they love people, is lovable.
