Do you ever get hugged?

Sometimes, you know, when you need a hug from someone you are not a parent too.

Although I see my family reguarly we're n ot touchy feely.. I don't remember being touched/hugged by my parents since I was little so it's not even like I can get that from them iykwim

If you don't get hugged, does it bither you?

I don't get huged by anyone other than ds and a few friends when I see them once in a blue moon. It doesn't bother me, I'm not a huggy person.
You could try a dance class if you get despirate.

It would bother me and does...however I tend to hug people that come here whether they like it or not.

sometimes yes, but i am not really the kind of person who hugs

i have a friend who thinks everything is solved by a hug and it drives me bloody nuts when he starts

Do you have any close friends who can give you a hug?

I am not a very tactile person, but even I appreciate a hug now and then, and would happily give one to a friend in need!

I think everyone, not just children, needs physical contact with other people sometimes.

And, yes it does bother me. I love hugs and really miss them.

My family are to far away and also don't do hugs.

Not really anything i can do about it though. Will certainly make up for it one day i hope!

ahh thanks.

I think I'm quite a cold person.. I would never hug my friends - we do that hug and peck on the cheek thing but would never have a proper hug with them.

I don't think I come across as particularly tactile (probably a direct result of my parents) but I always find that hug/peck thing awkward

I do miss having a proper hug/cuddle with someone though.

Somedays it would just be nice to be able to say I need a hug and to be hugged rather than be the hugger iykwim lol

but is that the same as sitting on the sofa with someone who has their arm round you?

because that is something i do miss from time to time

A guy at work hugged me last Friday in fact he frightened the life out of me. I was posting a letter outside of work and he crept up behind me and hugged me!!

I have worked with him (he is from another dept) for 9 years and use to run away from him (think he is just a huggy person) but I am a bit more receptive to him of late And he did do me a huge favour workwise last week

The last meaningful hug I had was in early September when my exbf (currently AWOL) came round. He has a soft side somewhere but didn't like to reveal it much.

Think I frightened him away perhaps cos I did give him a really big post coital hug. Hate that expression btw but couldn't think of anything else LOL

Wish I could get him out from under my skin (he has been there for about 17 years) and move on. Am trying quite hard

Ok, other than my children, then not really no. My mum isn't a touchy feely person, well not with me anyhow.

Quite sad really I suppose.

I do by DP, he's a big 'hugger'.

DS gives lovely hugs (am training him young! lol) but i'm bias. mum is the same as is nan, and dad is also good when he can see i'm down, but DP is the best!

we all have endless hugs for our kids - especially if it means we'll get an extra half hour in bed!

I have one friend who gives me a huge squeezy hug on meeting and leaving me. Tis very nice.
XP asks for hugs, I let him hug me if I am feeling generous.

I get lots of hugs from my DP and lots of hugs from my boys, but that's about it really. I am not overly huggy with my family or friends, other than when I've had a few drinks!

I never get hugged. DD1 always yells at me. Typical 13 yr old. DD2 hugs me a lot, but it's not the same.

My family disowned me a year ago and they never even hugged me back then. They never once told me they loved me. Bastards
Parents took me to a social worker woman when I was 12, I remember my dad saying he wanted me put into care. Then when I attempted suicide at 15..Dad again said 'leave her there to die'

Then I was told about my bro who died before me, and my parents filling my kids heads full of shit how I was a mistake.....

All I wanted was for my mum to tell me she loved me, and for my dad to hold me.
I love hugs now I'm older, yet I am promiscuous. Always wanting love. This makes me feel like shit.

My family are not tactile either, can't remember much hugging.

I have friends who hug me when I'm feeling down but the best hugs ever are from my dd who I have never refused a hug when she wants one (and even if she doesn't)

I get hugs from DS which I quite like, but otherwise I am not a very huggy person (and really dislike people who want to hug me because they are 'really tactile' but I don't know them very well and have given no indication that I want them climbing all over me.)

Hugs are one of those things that you don't realise the importance of until you have no one to hug. Yes of course kiddy hugs are great but no way the same as being held by someone who can take the burden just for those few moments. Like an it's really all gonna be okay hug. I miss THOSE hugs

I'm missing the hugs, Iget some from friends, DS, and even DexH but it is not the same. I miss a nice affectionate hug from someone who loves me, those feel different, one of those hugs that says you are great and are NOT the beginning of sex...
