On line calenders, do any of you do them?

I have set up an online calender, and put in al the kids activities etc. It was after a discussion with exH about next summer, he wanted to take them away but was moaning that they do so much stuff and he would just have to book it blah blah blah. So I thought it might be an idea if I set this up.

I have put in there regular activities and holiday dates, plus any special activities and days. I have set it up so the kids can use it as well so they know what is happening when. I also added in when I am away working and other days I have to work. So the kids can see what is coming up and perhaps exH can try to accomadate that at least once in a blue moon. I have asked him to put in dates he is away working too. I will also add days they will be with dad etc.

Perhaps it is a waste of time, perhaps me and the kids will be the only one to use it. Which isn;t that bad as I think it helps kids to know what is going on. Perhaps exH will actually use it too and then I might know when he will be out of the country and not realising he won't be having the kids and all that.

Wndered if anyone else uses a calender like this or any thoughts on the bets way to use it. I also thought the kids can leave messages on it or email their dad more through, might add stuff like when they are a little bit unwell etc to save me having to tell exH everything by text.

What a really good idea, where do you post it?

tammybear · 22/09/2008 22:32

I've never heard of that, but sounds like a great idea! I might have to use that with my ex and his parents, cause they moan I always say I'm busy when they want to come down though they tell me a couple of days before when I've already planned something about a month before hand [eyeroll]

Where do you get the calendar?

I set up a Hotmail one but it kept swapping time zones then came up in chinese and swapped all the regular activities around.

So I have it on Yahoo now, set up an email address for the kids and it has a calender attached, I think you can add photos to an album thing but haven't figured out how yet.

You can "share" the calender by sending people a link, or I have gave exH the password so he can just log on.

So it is all there and black and white for exH to see, not just in my diary and calender. Have added when scout camp fees are due, and parents night too.

Ha ha perhaps, exH took time off during the holidays this years for the first time since he has had children, shame it was so he could spend time with his school teacher GF not his children

I use the google one. Don't know if ex looks at it much, but I find it useful
