I just searched for my ex-h on Facebook (I don't know why, he deleted me as a friend the minute he left - see, I told you it was petty!) and his new profile pic is of him and OW.

He left 4 and a half months ago, hasn't seen our children for 12 weeks, and I don't know why, but seeing that photo has really upset me!!

Please, someone tell me does it get better? I thought I was doing really well, but things like this make me realise how much I'm hurting, and how it isn't ok.

Good morning - it is a new day and you are going to be OK. It does get better but you already know this. Right now, you are in a really hard and lonely place and your ex- has moved on and seems to have left you all behind.

The photos must have felt like a slap in the face. Just keep thinking "honeymoon period" - any relationship can last six months, it is after that, you need to start working on it together.

He is the loser - go look at your children. You will come out the other end of this and be stronger and happy again. Meantime, be kind to yourself, get everything sorted - money, future plans, and your house.

believe me I did this - on bebo too, its not petty the curiosity got the better of me too!

It will do nothing but leave you feeling upset, I've learned my lesson as I was still 'friends' with my exp and could read posts he was getting from OW! Send a shiver down my spine thinking of how ill it used to make me feel!

What do you have as your profile pic? Put up one of you all as a family, then if he or his OW have a look, it will bring home just what he has done.

kara next time you go out get your pic taken next to a fit adonis and put it up, but keep your profile private so your ex can't snoop

Thanks everyone. LOL at Tinkerbel's suggestion - I might just try that!!! I've just got a photo of my 2 children as my profile, but I like Freckle's idea too!

Am just feeling a bit sad and low at the moment, but it had to come as I've been feeling quite positive about things and the future.

Becuase he's cut his ties with us totally, it's quite easy to just 'forget' him, but the minute something like this happens, it's like a reminder that he's still alive and kicking, and all of this isn't a bad dream. If he does get his act together and start seeing the children again, I'm going to have to face these feelings on a regular basis.

On with the day. Pre-school starts back tomorrow, so I think the normal routine will help..

maybe the OW insisted on it cos she is jealous of you. Anyway FB is for children and you shouldn't read too much into it. and it will get better I promise

Poor you, this is always a vile thing, no matter what the circumstances: evidence of one's XP happily involved with someone else. Be nice to yourself for a day or two and remember: this too will pass.

You're right Zwiggy. I wish I hadn't even bothered looking at it now. I think it's more likely he put it up coz he kew I'd be snooping!!

It just infuriates me. He left me, a 2 year old and a 3 year old after 7 years of marriage to be with this other woman. He now can't be bothered to see his children coz he's "too busy working", yet he has time to put a new profile pic up!! Grrrrr...!!!

By the way, I am aware I sound like I am 9 not 29!!!! Just having a rant!

its not fair, but he is immature to be going off with another woman when he could be making it work as a husband and a father. What a loser! Put up some gorgeous photos of you and the kids then get off facebook. your ex and the OW will probably be wondering what you are up to.
