Today I have been invited round to my new man's parents house for lunch, with my boys. Wish me luck!

I was nervous enough when I had to meet them for the first time, but going round with the boys is a much more nerve wrecking prospect!
I hope they behave, I hope they don't half kill each other, I hope they have ok table manners, I hope DS2 doesn't belch really loudly, or poke out his tounge....oh nervous!!

Im sure it will be fine, say you will take them for an ice cream if they are very very good. HAve fun!

I'm sure it will be fine - most children behave beautifully around complete strangers (especially if prepped a little to do so) and reserve awful behaviour for their parents and other people they know will forgive them.

I went out for a meal on Friday night with DP's family, his sister and her DH and their youngest son (18yrs old), his sister in law and her DH and his mum with her DH - was terrified - but loads of fun.

Thankfully haven't had to do the meal out with them and children.........yet

It wasn't too bad. Boys played outside for quite a while, as they have a very big garden, then came in for dinner. DS2 did belch at the table a few times, but I made him say pardon! DS1 needed reminding to cut his food properly (he isn't great with a knife & fork, as he is a possible dyspraxic), and towards the end, he kept asking when he was going home as he started to get a bit bored. Oh, and while playing outside, DS2 rang the doorbell & ran off, but thankfully they found that quite funny!
DS2 is just DS2 & quite a cheeky chappy!

All in all it didn't go too badly though - it could have been worse! DS2 was very confident, and was showing DP's mum the contents of his wallet within minutes of arriving!

We have just taken the boys for a walk with the dog & I am now home. Best I rummage in my purse for that promised money now!

He said last night that I didn't have to take boys round if I didn't feel ready, but after being with him a year, I felt the time was right. I did ask both boys if they wanted to go though.

I am not too bad thanks. Recently went away to Jersey for the weekend with my new man to celebrate us being together a year! Can't believe it's been a whole year now!

how was jersey?

Jersey was nice. We hired a car & drove around the island, had lunch in a nice bar overlooking one of the beaches, went out for a nice meal in the evening, and just had a nice relaxing couple of child free days. Lovely!

i have and proud of it in some cases but soemtimes get fed up of being on my own sometimes when it's quiet.

things are up and down sometimes tho atm they're mostly stable lol tho he did say today on the phone that i would be happier if he were dead. i thought that dd was inearshot so i blew up at him, he said she wasn't but i'm still waiting for that apology. btw, i didn't answer his question

i did have a date and a short fling, ended abruptly no doubt with x help and chap being bit of time waster. i couldn't trust either of them so better off out of it i think. would be nice to go on dates tho or overseas at least lol!!
