They have only been gone a couple of hours, but in that time I have done all of downstairs, including clearing piles and moving furniture to dust/mop behind. I am now having a break and will continue upstairs.
Sadly I must spend at least a couple of hours sorting out some paperwork for next years tax return but apart from that im going to really enjoy the next couple of days

Anyone else? What are you getting up to?

I dont have my son this weekend and should be decorating but i think i fancy cleaning instead or drinking with what last night brought to me.

farrowandball · 02/08/2008 14:34

me too! well, ish. my dd had a pal and little brother to play now - but they are being sweet so its fun. anyway - last night in the pub with my sister and her pals (none have kids so completely care free) while my dd had a sleepover. in a min i'm taking her to same sister who is taking her out and having her to stay over while i go out with some friends. and tomorrow she has a play thing with a friend while i take my mum to the berkley spa for a birthday treat.

i would say that her dad never sees her, and this is a massive treat and i've had a vile week. so i'm not feeling to guilty. oh - and the spa is breaking the bank but its mother's b day so its sort of oblligatory.

anyway - woohoo!

x

IllegallyBrunette · 02/08/2008 14:38

I am glad they are back but xp does so piss me off.

He left Ds's swim hat at swimming, brought him a toy gun, and let dd1 buy itching powder

charliecat · 02/08/2008 17:38

lots of woo hoos and yippeees
I have now sat down to my paper work that I have been putting off for months.
Nearly made me SICK just getting it off the shelf. Going to bury my head in it.
Its LOVELY walking round without walking into another pile of mess created by the dds.

I am getting mine back very soon, but have been child free for the last 25 hours.
I have been shopping with a friend today, which was nice. Should have done the housework thing, but can't quite muster the energy!

allgonebellyup · 02/08/2008 17:46

Yes mine have been gone since last night, i am just about to have bath and tart myself up for the night, going for meal, then pub, then maybe crappy club afterwards.
Cant wait!!

And i get to do this every single weekend...!! [smug face]

Oh, and did i mention we are off to Portugal for 2 weeks soon?!!

Pinkchampagne · 02/08/2008 18:08

Oh you lucky thing, AGBU! Ex H's shifts are all over the place, so I get no set pattern, although he does have them weekends when he can. He is working tonight though, so have my man coming round here when he gets back from his cricket. Think ex H is having a social life next Saturday night too, which really isn't on!

These holidays kick the arse of my peace and quiet
